Watch Scotland vs Curaçao in an international friendly between two participants at the upcoming 2026 World Cup. With the tournament under two weeks away, this friendly provides an opportunity for Scotland boss Steve Clarke and reinstated Curaçao manager Dick Advocaat to see how their squads are shaping up.

Back at the World Cup for the first time since France 98, Scotland have ambitions of reaching the knockout stages for the first time. It won’t be easy, however, as they have two top teams in their group in five-time winners Brazil and 2022 semifinalists Morocco, plus unknown quantities Haiti. Clarke's side have lost their last two outings since a thrilling late 4-2 defeat of Denmark to qualify, with Lawrence Shankland expected to get some minutes, to go with regulars Scott McTominay and John McGinn, a recent Europa League winner.

Like Haiti, tiny Caribbean nation Curaçao came through CONCACAF qualifying to reach a first World Cup. Managed by the hugely experienced Dutch coach Advocaat (who led the Netherlands at the 1994 World Cup and South Korea in 2006), the Blue Wave thrashed Haiti 5-1 in June last year as they qualified unbeaten with seven wins from 10 games. They will be delighted, too, that Advocaat is back in the dugout. The 78-year-old Dutchman stood down for personal reasons in February, but was reinstated earlier this month after a player-led revolt over successor Fred Rutten's methods, following defeats by China and Australia.
