TVs are always popular during the Black Friday sales, as retailers compete to slash prices across multiple brands and sizes, meaning it offers the best chance to snap up a top-rated screen for less.

So, if you are looking for a 65-inch Black Friday TV deal, you’re in luck, as I’ve scoured the internet to find my three favourite deals so far, all of which offer frankly mind-boggling discounts on high-quality tellies. Here are my recommendations.

Samsung QN800D
Samsung QN800D: was AU$4,799 now AU$2,879.29 at Samsung Australia

This might be an 8K TV, but don’t let the lack of native content put you off, as it’s a formidable upscaler of 4K and HD content. In fact, we said it serves up “incredible picture quality” in our Samsung QN800D review. It boasts a good list of features too, including great gaming support. Plus, as and when 8K content does become more broadly available, you’ll be covered.

TCL C7K
Save 49% (AU$1,117)
TCL C7K: was AU$2,294 now AU$1,177 at Appliance Central

If you want a top-rated 65-inch TV on a budget, the TCL C7K gets my vote. It was already realistically affordable at full price, so for it to have over AU$1,000 shaved from its price for Black Friday makes it a certified bargain. We were suitably impressed with this screen’s punchy, bright picture in our TCL C7K review, as well as its gaming support. We did notice some screen uniformity issues, but otherwise I can’t recommend this enough.

LG C5
Save 42% (AU$1,800)
LG C5: was AU$4,299 now AU$2,499 at Appliance Central

I have to confess to being a bit of an LG loyalist (I just love me an OLED display) and while I do have a G5 at home, I believe the C5 is still the best option for most people, especially with this AU$1,800 discount on the 65-inch model. The C5 received a glowing five-star review from my colleague James Davidson, who praised its excellent picture quality, superb gaming performance, and intuitive smart TV platform.
