In a year that has seen streaming services in Singapore continually raise prices (here’s looking at you, Netflix), Disney Plus has now done what many would deem to be unthinkable – offering 40% off a Premium annual subscription for the second time in 2025.
It’s a huge win not only for Disney fans but, owing to the Premium tier’s enhanced video and sound quality, cinephiles too. What does a 40% discount translate to, we hear you ask? Well, it means you’ll pay just SG$113.98 for a 12-month subscription, down from SG$189.98.
You’ll need to be pretty quick if you do want to sign up, though, as the offer is valid from today, September 11 and will expire at 2.59pm SGT on Sunday, September 28, 2025. It’s great timing from Disney, too, with the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch recently landing on the streaming service, alongside the well-received sci-fi horror series Alien: Earth. It has also arrived at the same time as the fifth season of the mega-hit show Only Murders in the Building.
Normally, we’d be saying that deals like this don’t come around often, but given that this is the second time this year we’ve seen it, clearly we’d be lying. The discount is only available for just over two weeks, so there’s never been a better time to sign up for a Disney Plus subscription. The Premium tier has the added benefit of 4K UHD content with HDR, where available and Dolby Atmos audio, making it the perfect accompaniment to a stellar home cinema experience.
For the uninitiated, Disney Plus is home to a huge slate of incredible content that’s perfect for everyone from children to adults. Not only will you find excellent TV series such as The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy, but also classic movies from the 20th Century Fox archives and critically acclaimed TV shows such as Shōgun and Andor, among many others.
