Amazon's slashed the prices of some of its top Kindles – up to 31% off the Paperwhite, Colorsoft and more

The Paperwhite has been a jewel in the Kindle lineup for some time and this 21% discount makes it even easier to recommend. If you want space for even more books, this Kindle offers everything we loved about the model above, but with double the storage at 32GB. It also differs from its standard sibling with the ability to wirelessly charge. And, not insignificantly, this model comes in a lovely Jade.

While we think the Kindle Paperwhite is the better choice for most readers, there's no doubt that the best Kindle in 2025 is the Kindle Colorsoft. As noted in our Kindle Colorsoft review, once you experience a colour ereader of the Colorsoft's quality, it's hard to go back. At its regular price, we find it hard to recommend over the two models above. However, with this discount it's the clear choice for anyone who reads graphic novels or just wants coloured book covers in their digital library.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Kindle Scribe – though whether it's the top option for you depends on your needs. As the best Kindle for note taking, we called it "a big step up" from the Paperwhite in our Kindle Scribe (2024) review. This is largely thanks to its useful new AI features, and it's an incredible big-screen ereader thanks to its 10.2-inch display. What takes it to the next level, though, is the writing experience offered by its Premium Pen. If you want an ereader that can double as your journal or work notepad, this is the deal for you.
