Black Friday iPhone 16 deals – where to get the best deal on all models
Sometimes, you don’t need the very latest iPhone. While the iPhone 17 impressed us by being the most competitive base-model Apple handset in years, the iPhone 16 series is still a top pick for Black Friday deals thanks to its high-quality cameras, sleek design, great performance, and neat Camera Control and Action Button hardware features.
It’s a tried and tested strategy – wait for Black Friday deals to come around, then set your sights on an older iPhone model while the rest of the tech world goes wild for the latest, more expensive, model. While recent iPhones rarely see the biggest discounts during sales season, you’re almost guaranteed to see better prices for the iPhone 16 series than the iPhone 17 models that followed it.
In fact, we’re already seeing some decent deals on iPhone 16 models. In the UK, we’re seeing straight up price cuts, while in the US (where cash discounts are less common for iPhones), Verizon leads the way for deals on new lines – keep scrolling for our recommendations so far.

Today's best iPhone 16 Black Friday deals in the US
Most of the best iPhone 16 deals we're seeing in the US are via Verizon: be advised that these deals apply when you activate an unlimited plan, the cheapest of which (Unlimited Welcome) costs $65/mo for a single line and tops out at $120/mo for 4 devices. Check the terms and conditions before signing up.
At the time of writing, you can also get an iPhone 17 at no device cost with a Verizon Unlimited Ultimate plan, but this costs more at $90/mo for a single line. Over 36 months this adds up to an extra $900 (though this, of course, also pays for your cell service and other benefits).

Apple iPhone 16: free with a new Unlimited plan at Verizon
Apple's previous-generation base-model flagship is free with a new line under Verizon's Unlimited Welcome plan, which costs $65 for a single device and, as you'd expect, offers unlimited calls, texts, and data. As for the phone itself, the iPhone 16 is still much more than a solid performer, with the speedy A18 chipset, two great rear cameras, and support for Apple Intelligence.

Apple iPhone 16 Plus: free with a new Unlimited plan at Verizon
If you're looking for a new phone and a new mobile plan, Verizon will give you the iPhone 16 Plus for free when you open a new Unlimited plan. The iPhone 16 Plus takes everything great about the iPhone 16 and throws it into a larger chassis, with a bigger 6.7-inch display and a larger battery. Otherwise, you're looking at the same great A18 chipset and Fusion Camera system as the smaller iPhone 16.

Apple iPhone 16e: Up to $670 off with trade-in at Apple
There are no great deals available yet for the budget-focused iPhone 16e in the US, but if you have another iPhone to trade in, Apple will give you up to $670 in trade-in credit. That's technically enough to pay for the entire phone at 128GB of storage, but I'd only recommend trading in an older iPhone (iPhone 13 or earlier) to get the iPhone 16e, which won't garner as much of a discount. With a newer model, you're better of waiting another year to upgrade, or saving a little more for a higher-spec model.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro: free with a new Unlimited plan at Verizon
It can be hard to get your hands on older Pro-level iPhones as the models are discontinued after a year in the spotlight. Nevertheless, Verizon will give you the iPhone 16 Pro for free when you open a new line on one of the company's Unlimited plans. The iPhone 16 Pro sports the rapid A18 Pro chipset, Apple's iconic triple-camera setup, and a ProMotion enabled 6.3-inch display.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max: free with a new Unlimited plan at Verizon
If you're after a serious powerhouse of a phone, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is still a great choice a year on thanks to its A18 chipset, triple-camera system with 5x optical zoom, and large ProMotion-equipped 6.9-inch display. Discontinued by Apple and hard to find on shelves, this Verizon deal gets you the phone for free when you open a new line on an Unlimited plan.

The iPhone 16 is still a great pick for Apple fans one year after release. It's got a beautiful 6.1-inch display, two high-quality cameras with the Camera Control shutter button, and the speedy A18 chipset with support for Apple Intelligence. At this price, the iPhone 16 is barely more expensive than the budget-tier iPhone 16e.

The iPhone 16 Plus is the same great phone as the smaller iPhone 16, with a bigger 6.7-inch display and larger battery, offering up to 27 hours of video playback. It's got the same A18 chip as its smaller sibling, as well as the same dual-camera system and overall design. This discount from Laptops Direct brings the price of the handset down to the current retail price of the smaller iPhone 16.

John Lewis has the budget-focused iPhone 16e at £509 in this early Black Friday deal. As Apple's cheapest current-generation handset, the iPhone 16e brings the essential iPhone experience down in price while retaining great features like the 48MP Fusion Camera and Action Button. The iPhone 16e caused some debate over its price at launch, but this discount price is much more in line with comparable handsets like the Google Pixel 9a and Samsung Galaxy A56.

Apple discontinues its Pro-level iPhones after one year, so it can be hard to find new previous-generation models later on. That's why this iPhone 16 Pro listing from AO gets our attention despite not being listed as a deal; it's an official, new iPhone 16 Pro at £100 less than retail, and the best UK deal I've seen for the handset so far.

Like the iPhone 16 Pro, the iPhone 16 Pro Max was discontinued when the iPhone 17 series came in to replace it. As such, it's hard to find new models on the market, let alone big discounts; still, Laptops Direct has a deal on last year's best iPhone, bringing the price of this premium handset down to £1,099. That's still expensive, but beats the reigning iPhone 17 Pro Max by £100.
