Does PlayStation offer free shipping?
Most orders through PlayStation Direct are eligible for free shipping to US addresses, although for any exceptions, fees will be displayed at the checkout. Standard shipping should arrive in 4 working days (plus an additional 2 - 3 working days for orders to Alaska or Hawaii).
If you are a PlayStation Plus member, you will receive free express shipping on your orders - meaning they should arrive in 2 - 3 business days - so long as you are purchasing a console with one or more games or accessories.
Can I get a discount on PlayStation Plus?
PlayStation Plus is the gaming brand's paid member's subscription which offers a range of benefits including free games, online play, exclusive discounts and access to a large catalog of games to download or stream.
There are three available tiers of PlayStation Plus membership: Essential, Extra and Premium. Essential grants you online play, monthly free games, and some exclusive discount, whilst Extra adds access to a wide range of games to download and Premium adds on cloud streaming, game trials and access to a PS1 and PS2 back catalog.
Although a PlayStation Plus membership can net you faster shipping through PlayStation Direct, you cannot buy PlayStation Plus memberships through the site. Instead, you will need to go to the PlayStation Store, which operates as a separate entity and is best accessed through your console.
Our best advice for saving on PlayStation Plus is to consider the tier you need - choosing more basic plans if you find you don't need all the additional features offered by the likes of Premium - and choosing longer (e.g. 12 month) plans over monthly alternatives.
