Is Norton free?
No, but the brand regularly offers free trials on selected plans, such as 7-day trial periods on Norton 360, and a 30-day trial on antivirus. Trials let you test out the features of your chosen plan for a set period before you're charged so you can figure out if the service is right for you. If you like the service, just let the plan roll over after your trial period. If you aren't a fan, you can cancel before the 7 or 30 days are up and you won't pay a thing.
How much does Norton cost?
Prices for Norton plans will depend on the plan you choose and how long you take it out for. Customers can choose from a number of antivirus, privacy or all-in-one plans, available monthly or annually. The more features your plan includes, the more you'll pay, and you'll usually find that although monthly options offer greater flexibility, you'll pay more each month as a result.
You can find plans for as little as $2.49 a month (such as for the brand's VPN). Choosing an annual plan can be up to 50% cheaper, so if you know it's the right option for you, its worth going for this option instead. In most cases, Norton will automatically try and sign you up for an annual plan anyway, but watch out for price rises after your first year ends, as the brand is a big fan of first-year discounts for new customers.
Does Norton offers refunds?
Norton offers a 60-day money-back guarantee on annual plans, meaning customers can request a full refund within two months of their purchase if they're unhappy or change their mind. This applies to both new plans and automatic renewals. For monthly plans, the refund period is 14 days after the purchase date, and does not apply to automatic renewals.

Norton 360 is the brand's suite of all-inclusive plans, which often combines antivirus and security software with the likes of the brand's VPN, cloud storage and theft protection. Choosing these bundles is generally cheaper than taking out individual plans for each service you want to sign up for, letting you save up to 20% on the cost, and you'll also find options for multiple users that offer much better value for money if you're signing up for your business or family too.
Get a student discount
If you're still studying, you can get up to 60% off selected Norton plans, usually including the likes of Norton 360, by verifying your status through Student Beans. Just sign in to or create an account to confirm your eligibility and you'll be sent a one-off code to add at the checkout before you order.
