Do I need a Plaud subscription to use my device?
Although you will need to create and sign in to an account to get started, Plaud includes a free starter tier membership with every device. The free tier includes all the same features that premium tiers offer: your device will support 112 languages, operate with multiple AI models and multimodal input, and auto generate transcripts with speaker labels.
When you sign in to your account, you'll find a log of all your created transcripts, which you can format with more than 3000 professional summary templates, as well as your own templates. You'll also be able to share and export transcripts as you see fit.
The only difference between the free tier and paid alternatives is your transcription limit: free tier only includes 300 minutes per month. If you need more, you'll have to consider upgrading your plan.
How much is a Plaud subscription?
If you decide that you need more than 300 transcription minutes a month and want to upgrade from the free tier, you'll find two paid subscription plans available: Pro and Unlimited. Both premium tiers include all the same features as the free tier, but with more transcription minutes per month.
The Pro plan comes in at £8.33 per month, and quadruples the monthly transcription minute limit, giving you 1200 a month. If that's not quite enough for you, you can also upgrade to the Unlimited plan to remove the limit altogether, which will cost you £19.17 per month.
Does Plaud offer free device shipping?
Yes, every order from Plaud is sent with free shipping, which should arrive within 3-5 working days. You'll also find an order tracking tool on the brand's website, letting you keep an eye on when to expect your devices between placing and receiving your order.
Does Plaud offer a student discount?
Both students and teachers can get 10% off their Plaud orders when they verify their status through the Plaud education offers portal. To get started, just provide your mobile number and a few details. Once Sheer ID (Plaud's education discount partner) has checked your details, you'll be sent a unique code to add at the checkout for your discount.
What is the Plaud refund policy?
Plaud gives you 30 days from the date of your purchase to send your item back if you're not 100% happy. If you send your hardware back in its original packaging with all included accessories, you'll qualify for a full refund. For software, it will need to be unused. Returns shipping is free: just contact the customer service team to arrange it.

Buy a bundle or bulk buy
Plaud offers bundles and bulk discounts, helping you save if you're in the market for both a device and a plan, or for multiples of the same device. You'll be able to save up to 13% depending on the bundle you pick: for multi-buys, savings are tiered depending on how many devices you buy (e.g. 3 or 4 devices comes with a 3% discount, whilst ordering more than 51 devices will net you the full 13% off). This is especially handy if you're ordering for your organisation.
Subscribe and save
Looking to purchase an AI membership plan? Choosing subscribe and save, which lets your Plaud subscription auto-renew each year, will net you a 5% discount, making it well worth doing if you plan to stay with the service. This option is available for both the Pro and Unlimited tier plans
Sign up for news
There's an email field at the bottom of the Plaud website where you can provide your email address of choice to join the brand's mailing list. Signing up means you'll be sent regular updates on products and promotions, including the latest discounts across plans and hardware.
