UPDATE: The HTC Pyramid will be sold in the UK as the HTC Sensation.

It's been a while since we first heard about the HTC Pyramid just before Mobile World Congress, but the superphone is back complete with a render to feast our eyes upon.

The picture comes by way of XDA.cn, a Chinese site that also published images of a couple of suspect HTC Windows Phone 7 devices.

The original Pyramid rumours came from "an insider", who suggested a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 4G and a 4.3-inch screen.

What would the pharaohs say?

XDA reckons it will launch with Android 3.0 – which would be an interesting move given that 3.0 is Android's tablet-specific OS. We're not sure there's much truth to this particular part of the rumour.

It also reiterates the screen and processor sizes from the previous leak, and says that there will be both rear- and front-mounted cameras.

Like the two Windows Phone 7 rumours from XDA.cn, there's absolutely no guarantee that these renders have come from HTC itself; so while it's a good mock up of a potential HTC handset, we wouldn't get too excited until HTC itself unveils the handset code-named Pyramid.
