Black Friday Florida VPN deals: perfect for privacy in the panhandle
With age verification laws landing in Florida in 2025, picking up a VPN is a good idea to make sure all that personal data you're having to input to access your regular sites and services remains as private as possible.
So, what makes a good VPN for Floridians? Well, there are a few considerations. Firstly, you'll want something fast, or at least fast enough so that it doesn't feel slower than your regular internet connection – and not just globally fast, but fast for use in Florida.
Second, and not unrelated, you'll want a VPN with a good local server network. Nearby servers offer faster speeds and the more nearby server locations there are on offer, the more options you've got for a good connection.
Third of all, you need a VPN you can trust to keep your information private. That means a VPN with a no-logs policy, which means that it doesn't store any user data at all. So, even if it was successfully subpoenaed, it would have nothing it could hand over to the authorities anyway.
And last of all, well, it's Black Friday, you'll want a VPN with a great deal – and that's what we have below. These VPN deals are ones that tick all the boxes above: our top Florida VPN choices. Take a look:

Surfshark One with Search: $2.59 $2.19/month
Surfshark is a great choice for a Florida VPN. It's regularly one of the fastest VPNs we test and it's got a good server spread across the US which means you can access what you need from nearby. The nearest servers are in Miami, Atlanta and Charlotte with 24 US server locations altogether. Surfshark Starter (the basic VPN) is our favorite cheap VPN at $1.99 per month but Surfshark One (with antivirus and fraud alerts) is an excellent Black Friday deal at just a few cents more.
✅ 24 US city locations, in 19 different states
✅ 751 Mbps local download speeds
✅ Our #2 VPN overall
✅ Comes with a 7-day free trial
❌ Not the best VPN for streaming

Proton VPN: $3.59 $2.49/month
Proton VPN offers Swiss privacy protections thanks to the country's strict data laws. Users also get to benefit from its Secure Core server system which adds a layer of extra protection by routing your traffic through multiple servers in privacy-friendly countries. There aren't quite as many server locations in and around Florida as a few others here but it does have the bigger US server count of the bunch, and that should help keep performance consistent. What's more Proton VPN is an excellent deal with over $1 off per month on what is a very fast and reliable VPN.
✅ Over 5000 US servers in 19 US city locations
✅ 718 Mbps local download speeds
✅ One of the best VPNs for privacy
✅ Excellent Black Friday discount
❌ Not as many server locations in and near Florida

PrivadoVPN: $1.11/month + antivirus with 90% off
PrivadoVPN has a smaller server network than many on this list but it's hard to argue with a VPN that costs just $30 for 27 months of service – particularly when the company has thrown in free antivirus for Black Friday too. What's more, PrivadoVPN punches way above its price tag when it comes to speed. It's solid for streaming and reliably fast for Floridians with servers in Miami and Atlanta.
✅ 15 US city server locations
✅ 782 Mbps local download speeds
✅ Excellent for stream unblocking
✅ Incredibly cheap
❌ Privacy credentials not regularly audited
❌ Fewer US server locations than some

NordVPN Basic: $3.39 $2.99/month + 3 months free
NordVPN doesn't have the best Black Friday offer. But it is the best VPN. It clocked in at the fastest for Floridians in our speed test. It's got a very healthy 2945 US servers spread across 16 locations, including Charlotte, Miami and Atlanta. It's also the best VPN for streaming and is the only VPN in our last lot of testing to unblock every streaming service we tried at the first attempt.
✅ 2945 servers across 16 US city server locations
✅ No-logs policy
✅ 893 Mbps local download speeds
✅ Superb for stream unblocking
❌ Not a big discount
❌ Could have more US server locations

Windscribe: $69 now $29/year
For price and for people in Florida, Windscribe is a great VPN deal right now. It's down to less than half-price for Black Friday and even promises to renew for the same price each year. More importantly, Windscribe has an excellent US server network, including three separate Miami server locations, one in Tampa and another in Charlotte. The only downside is that it didn't record very fast download speeds in our test. Perhaps that's down to its popularity.
✅ 4 Florida server locations
✅ Proven no-logs capabilities
✅ Brilliant Black Friday price
❌ 570 Mbps – behind the rest for speed

Private Internet Access: $2.19 $2.03/month
Like NordVPN, PIA doesn't have much of a discount for Black Friday. Unlike NordVPN, though, it was the slowest VPN we tested for Florida. So, why have we included it in this list? Well, it's one of only two good VPNs with a server location in every single US state, and that counts for something if you need to browse from a big selection of US locations.
✅ 50 US server locations – every state covered
✅ Proven no-logs capabilities
❌ Poor Black Friday discount
❌ 354 Mbps – the slowest VPN we recorded
How we measured Florida VPN speed
We set up a Windows 365 Cloud PC based in Virginia, USA, and connected to each VPN's Miami server using its fastest available VPN protocol. We recorded 5 speeds tests for each VPN on 4 different VPN platforms and quoted the median speed from the fastest of those speed test platforms.
This bar chart below shows the result. As ever, VPN speed testing is only record of a snapshot in time. Factors like network capacity vary for each VPN. However, the chart gives a decent indication of the faster VPN services available in Florida – and which ones might not perform so well.
Fastest Florida VPNs
Comparative download speeds of discounted VPNs connecting from a computer in Virginia to a server in Miami, Florida.
Download speed (Virginia to Miami)
| Product | Value (Mbps) |
|---|---|
| Surfshark | 751 |
| NordVPN | 893 |
| Proton VPN | 718 |
| PrivadoVPN | 782 |
| Windscribe | 570 |
| PIA | 354 |
Apart from these paid VPN Black Friday deals, you might also be wondering about the best free VPNs for Florida and you'd be right to consider them. While there are a tonne of free VPNs that you should avoid like the plague, there are also a handful of trustworthy cost-free services out there too.
Take a look at our best free VPN choices for a closer look but, in short, PrivadoVPN Free, Proton VPN Free and Windscribe Free are the best options.
You don't get everything for nothing, though. PrivadoVPN and Windscribe's free plans have limited usage. You get about 10 GB of traffic each month with either before they cut you off. So, if you're planning on streaming videos with your VPN or you're looking to use a VPN every day, then they're not a good choice.
Proton VPN Free has unlimited monthly usage but it's a bit slow. You don't get the same speedy service as regular Proton VPN. You also can't connect to a server of your choosing which might not be ideal if you're trying to access content from a specific location. For privacy protection and security, though, all three of these free plans are excellent.
Last we'd also recommend giving EventVPN a try if you really want something free. You'll have to suffer awful video adverts every time you connect and disconnect and it only works on iPhone at the moment but it is free, you can choose your server, and it does have unlimited data.
So, those are your choices. Now, get out there, and get safe!
