Not only can it vault over thresholds, but it also has a retractable sensor puck for low-clearance cleaning, extending side brushes, and a self-cleaning base. Plus, it offers powerful 20,000Pa suction, and during testing, its battery lasted around 90 minutes.

While that's still a lot to drop on a robo-cleaner, let me tell you; it's worth every penny. The Dreame X50 is one of the most reliable and effective robot vacuums I've tested so far, and I've tried devices from the likes of iRobot, Roborock and Samsung. None offered such a competent machine, and none have been so low-maintenance as Dreame's.

Plus, with a more expensive robot vacuum, you get a device that will almost certainly outlive budget robovacs. I've tried a few, and some broke within months of me first using them; meanwhile, my X50 and I are still going, eight months strong.
