Amazon Prime Big Deal Days - my top picks
This second Amazon Prime Day of the year has the top-rated Blink Video Doorbell on sale for under £25 – a new record-low price. The Blink Video Doorbell is a cheap and easy way to get alerts to your phone when motion is detected or when guests are at your door. It features infrared night video, long-lasting battery life, compatibility with other smart devices and displays, and two-way audio to speak to visitors.
The G50 is very budget-friendly even at full price, but now it's even more so thanks to this Prime Day deal, which takes it under £100. A maximum suction of 4,000Pa is extremely good for the price, and the onboard bin is surprisingly generously sized at 600ml. For this price, expect basic navigation and a design suited to general whole-home cleans rather than anything more specific. Although we haven't reviewed this specific model yet, we generally rate Eufy highly as a brand, and the value for money is impressive.
Here's a new record-low price for this impressive bundle featuring the appliance we awarded 4.5 stars out of five in our Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner review. I can't praise these vacuums enough for the Anti Hair Wrap tech that's saved me so much time unclogging the brush roll compared to my old vacuum. Flexology makes it a good option for reaching under furniture and this upgraded Stratos version boasts anti-odour tech and CleanSense IQ that automatically adjusts suction power to tackle tougher areas of dirt. On top of all that, battery life is an impressive 60 minutes.
I've seen a lot of people talk about and use Loop earplugs lately so if you want to see what the fuss is all about then this entry-level pair is down to a record-low price. Use them to block out noise on a commute, help you focus in the office, protect your ears from loud music at bars or concerts, or help you create a better environment for sleep. They're reusable and can last for up to five years so a good investment if you'll be a regular user.
This extremely popular and number one best-selling air fryer, which we awarded five stars in our Ninja AF300UK review, is now even cheaper than the previous Prime Day at Amazon. This is an excellent, record-low price for a large dual-basket air fryer that can prepare multiple foods at once faster and arguably healthier than other conventional cooking methods.
The Sony WH-1000MX4 are getting old now, but they are still some of the best over-ear headphones ever. These wireless Sony cans package together top-notch audio, excellent comfort, and effective noise cancellation all at a reasonable price point that's over £200 less than the newest Sony XM6, which are only a minor upgrade. We still rate these as the best headphones for most people, exactly because you can find them at a price like this during major sales.
Display: 16 inches
Processor: Intel Core i5
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB
There's a terrific combination of specs for the price in this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5, including an Intel i5 processor, a performance-boosting 16GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD. These can make work and everyday tasks a breeze. You also get the huge benefit of a larger 16-inch display that makes this ideal if you prefer a bigger screen size and don't need an easily portable option.
Our Dyson Supersonic review called this the 'best hair dryer on the market' for its quirky design and impressive performance. The main issue? The price - which makes this nifty £100 discount in the Amazon Prime Deal Days sale so compelling. It's still a little on the pricey side, sure, but Dyson builds its products to last – and you'll almost certainly get great results here.
The Kindle Colorsoft is down to a new low price as part of Amazon Prime Day. As Amazon's first and only colored Kindle, it's a must-have if you love reading travel guides, graphic novels, and other genres with a lot of images and photographs – or just want to view your entire ebook library in its full colour glory. The ereader is also USB-C and wireless charging compatible, lasts up to eight weeks on a full battery, and has enough storage for thousands of books.
Here's a small discount on Fitbit's cheapest fitness tracker. It's inexpensive but still Fitbit's best-value proposition: all a fitness beginner needs to get started. The battery lasts for ten days and the device comes with six months of Fitbit Premium, which is an outstanding fitness app packed to the gills with features and content - especially at this price.
The 50-inch Amazon Fire TV is the mid-sized version of the budget-friendly 4-Series range and it's now down to its lowest-ever price. It's a nice buy if you're on a budget, as the premium 4K resolution delivers excellent clarity and picture quality for TV shows, movies, sports and general viewing. All major streaming apps are ready to go, too, plus there's voice control support through Alexa. It's an all-around solid TV for the price that I'd buy if I needed an affordable and capable display.
Here's a chance to bag a 20% saving on the Suri Sonic 1.0 Electric Toothbrush at Amazon. As I found after picking one up myself, it doesn't just have sustainability chops; it's also an excellent toothbrush that we scored an impressive 4.5 out of five in our Suri Sonic Electric Toothbrush review. It performs and cleans well, offers a fantastic 40-day battery life, fast charging over USB-C, and comes with handy extras like a magnetic wall mount. A version with a UV cleaning travel case is also 20% off, or you can buy direct from Suri for the same price with the code 'PRIME20'.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Under £50
It may just look like a more robust electric toothbrush, but this Sonic Scrubber is a popular cleaning tool for use around the home – and it's now under £20 for Prime Big Deal Days. Multiple brush heads are included for all sorts of unfun cleaning jobs, such as the hob, toilet, taps, grout, and even shoes. A pretty handy and inexpensive little gadget to have, then.
The latest wireless Ring Doorbell has been discounted to a new record-low price ahead of next week's Prime Day. We've tested more advanced versions and have been impressed with the video quality and night vision colour, but it's a shame that some of this device's value is usable exclusively with a Ring Protect subscription. However, if you're fine with paying for a subscription or already using a Ring-based home security system, it'll be worth the cost.
I bought this massage gun myself and found it to be excellent value for money, so I definitely recommend it at this record-low price. It's easy to use, quiet, has four attachments to target different muscles and has six speed settings to suit your preferred pressure. The detachable handle is a nice addition, too, so you can easily reach your back.
The Ninja Blast Portable Blender is Ninja's best-selling personal-sized blender for smoothies, slushies, and shakes. It comes with a USB-rechargeable base, so you don't need to swap batteries every few months, and a leakproof lid with a carrying handle. Its convenient, grab-and-go design stood out to our reviewer, who gave it four out of five stars. This is a record-low price for the handy kitchen gadget.
A new version of the Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet was only released less than a year ago and it's back to the record-low price for Prime Day. While not the most powerful tablet out there, the Fire HD 8 has what you need to cover the essentials, such as web browsing, sending emails, watching videos and a little light gaming. Battery life is impressive at up to 13 hours, so it's good to take on the go or if you're just chilling on the couch.
The Philips OneBlade 360 is a quick, simple and affordable electric razor that's suitable for a wide variety of face and body grooming needs. This jam-packed bundle is now down to the cheapest price I've ever seen, making it a great buy. Even more so as this bundle includes the handle as well as two spare blades, a comb and body kit, and a USB-A charging cable.
The UK gets a great OnePlus 13 Prime Day deal too, thanks to this £50.99 saving. That may not sound like much, but when you consider this Pro-grade phone now costs £100 less than a Google Pixel 10, iPhone 17, or Samsung Galaxy S25, it's hard to ignore the value for money on offer.
Amazon Music Unlimited: four months free
Into your tunes? You can get a lengthy four-month trial of Music Unlimited: Amazon’s premium music streaming service. Unlike the free tier or the basic Amazon Music Prime benefit, Music Unlimited provides ad-free listening, the ability to download songs for offline playback, and high-definition and spatial audio options. With over 11 million tracks, you're sure to be covered regardless of taste, too.
There's not a huge amount for me to say here about this mountain of AA batteries for not a lot of money. That's basically all there is to it. If you need a lot of them, then now's a good time to stock up while they're so cheap.
It's not the most glamorous deal but this is a good price for a set of 24 batteries at Amazon from the big-name brand Duracell. These are always a handy buy for a variety of tech items and gadgets.
Multiple colour variants of the latest Xbox Wireless Controller are now available from £39.99 at Amazon. This well-loved and easy-to-use gamepad is compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, PCs, tablets, and mobile phones. This is a good price to bite on as we've only seen these controllers for £5 less in the past, and that was during last year's Black Friday sale in November.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Amazon Devices
Loads of good deals here. But I don't think you can go wrong with an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
This half-price offer gets you an easy-to-install Ring Indoor Camera for a new low price. The Alexa-enabled plug-in security camera features motion-activated notifications, 1080p HD video support, a privacy cover and two-way talk to allow you to see, hear and communicate throughout your home.
This early Prime Day deal lets you get the Ring Outdoor Camera for £44.99 – that's the cheapest price I've ever seen. The Alexa-enabled security camera features motion-activated notifications, two-way talk, and can be placed outdoors thanks to the weather-resistant design and a battery life of six to twelve months.
The new Blink Mini 2 has a couple of nice upgrades compared to the previous model, including an in-built spotlight, night view in colour support and the option to use it outdoors with the weather-resistant adaptor. Aside from that, it offers the same raft of security features such as motion detection, two-way audio and smartphone app integration. This offer is a new record-low price – and best of all, you don't need to be a Prime member to get it.
Amazon has the latest Blink Outdoor 4 security camera on sale for £31.49. At this lowest-ever price, it's one of my top picks from the early Prime Day deals if you want to dabble with some cheap smart home tech. The 4th-generation outdoor security camera features two-way audio, a two-year battery life, and works with Amazon Alexa for hands-free control and interconnectivity with other smart devices.
Amazon's early Prime Day deals include the Echo Pop for the low price of £22.99. This is the cheapest Echo device you can buy right now and one that we found was fun, if somewhat basic, in our Echo Pop review. For the money, however, you get a compact smart speaker with Alexa built in, so you can play music, ask questions, and check the weather completely hands-free. It has fallen to £17.99 in the past for Prime members, but I'd still say it's a decent buy at a little over £20.
Amazon's best-selling Echo Dot is down to under £30 ahead of Prime Day – an OK offer, but far from the previous record-low of £21.99. Nevertheless, the Echo Dot offers an improved audio experience, plus a new temperature sensor and all the handy features from Alexa, like playing music, answering questions, and checking the weather completely hands-free. As far as a cheap and cheerful smart speaker goes, it's one of the better options out there.
Amazon brought back a brand-new version of its Echo Spot smart clock recently, and it's slashed £35 off the price for Prime Day. That's a new record-low price. As well as a time display and wake-up alerts, this compact bit of kit can play music, check the weather and control other smart devices throughout your home.
If you're looking for a deal on a smart home display, then the cheapest offer at Amazon is the latest generation Echo Show 5 on sale for £49.99. That's only £5 more than the record low, so it's a strong deal for a straightforward smart home display that's packed with features and includes the Amazon Alexa assistant for easy voice controls to get alerts, weather updates, play music, watch videos, and more.
If you're looking for a slightly bigger smart home display, Amazon has the latest Echo Show 8 on sale for £89.99 – that's a return to the record-low price. The eight-inch display allows you to make calls, watch movies, check the weather, and control compatible smart home devices completely hands-free thanks to Alexa compatibility. The addition of room-filling spatial audio gives a big boost to all of these features to improve sound quality.
The newest version of Amazon's standard Fire TV Stick is down to its lowest-ever price, making this an inexpensive way to add or upgrade the essential smart features in your TV, including access to streaming apps in HD, Alexa voice controls and the ability to control other smart home devices. This is a decent option if you're looking to upgrade your streaming setup on the cheap.
As the name suggests, the Fire TV Stick 4K streams shows and movies on your TV in ultra-high 4K resolution, with access to all the major apps and voice control support through Alexa. It's a good offer for a solid streaming stick that could be an upgrade to some slower and clunkier in-built TV services and apps. Be aware, though, that the previous generation version has been as low as £22.99 before – but that was over three years ago. Chances of seeing that price again are slim – and this is actually a record-low price for the newest model.
Another streaming stick, another return to the lowest-ever price. The newest version of Amazon's premium streaming device, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, streams the same content in the same quality as the standard 4K version, but the extra power inside means you get faster performance when navigating apps and searching for shows. Plus, it uses WiFi 6E technology to give you a more stable and consistent streaming experience over the majority of built-in TV services and apps.
Mesh Wi-Fi systems sound like a fancy and complex bit of tech, but they're effectively just a way to improve or expand Wi-Fi coverage around your home – especially if you live in a larger space. This set gets you a router and an extender at a massively reduced price that you can spread around your home to eliminate dead zones and get a more reliable connection.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Televisions
A good selection of TVs to choose from here, but I think I'd go for the LG C5 OLED; I have the C1 and adore it.
A great deal – a good-size small TV, powered by the most user-friendly smart TV software, courtesy of Roku. This is obviously light on features overall, but you've got a sleek design, impressive streaming support, and HDR for a punchier picture.
Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale includes this 40-inch TV on sale for a record-low price of £174.99. While the Amazon 2-Series TV is just a basic HD display, you get smart capabilities with the Fire TV experience and Amazon Alexa on board for hands-free control at a bargain price. It's far from the best TV in the world, but if you need something small and basic for the kitchen or a kid's room, then this is fine for the job.
Amazon's Fire TV Omni QLED Series is a big step up in the otherwise cheap and cheerful range of smart TVs. This set boasts premium features, including a QLED display for better brightness and contrast, HDR and Dolby Vision for brighter and more vivid colours, local array dimming for richer blacks and HDMI 2.1 support to deliver a top-quality picture for all-around viewing and fast response times for gaming. It's not always easy to find a TV of this size and with these high-end features for under £400, so it's an excellent buy for the budget-conscious without compromising on quality.
This is a lot of TV for under £400, especially for something with such a good list of specs. You've got Fire TV for comprehensive streaming support, plus Dolby Vision HDR as well Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound. Obviously, you can't expect super-premium image quality for the price, but if you want a big, cheap TV with a bright and rich picture, this'll work nicely.
The very same TV is also on sale in the UK ahead of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. This premium version of the manufacturer's best-selling displays is one of the best Fire TVs we've reviewed, thanks to the dynamic, colorful and vibrant image. Plus, the smooth and responsive display ensures it's a great buy for sports and gaming. It's excellent value for money at this record-low price.
This is another great mid-range mini-LED TV, and is the best 75-inch TV I've seen for under £1000 among the deals today. Expect great cinematic contrast, bold colors and brightness, and excellent gaming support. Its picture quality will hold up to being in such a large screen, so if you want to go huge, this is the best-value way. I also think the 55-inch version of this for £594 is good value.
This is the cheapest price to date for what we rate as the best all-rounder TV on the planet. Stunning OLED picture quality with pixel-precise contrast, impressive brightness levels for a mid-range OLED, excellent motion and detail handling, unbeatable gaming features, and a great smart TV system – we gave this 5 out of 5 in our LG C5 review.
Amazon is also discounting its budget Fire TV Soundbar ahead of Prime Day. This compact soundbar is a decent buy for under £90 if you want an affordable and competent upgrade to your TV speakers, with support for DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio to offer generally clear sound and a simple setup process.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Appliances
While I'm a Dyson guy, the Sharp vacuum cleaner certainly catches my eye. But I also think you can't go wrong with some cut-proce air fryers in this list.
There's a good saving on this convenient and affordable handheld vacuum from Shark at Amazon. Our Shark WandVac review praised a similar device for its strong suction, lightweight design and how easy it is to use. It's definitely one not to miss now that it's down to its cheapest price this year.
Ninja's recent space-saving air fryer is down to its lowest-ever price, which is a steal for the popular and well-rated appliance. We loved it at TechRadar, scoring it full marks in our Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer review and even putting it in our best air fryer buying guide. Well-built and great-looking on any countertop, it offers five cooking levels across two drawers and two racks, while the 9.5L capacity is ideal for medium to big families.
Here's a huge discount on Ninja's newest and most portable air fryer – and a great Prime Day deal. This bundle includes the PowerPod lid, plus two resealable glass containers to carry your dishes until you're ready to cook. According to our testing, it cooks exceptionally quickly, is easy to use and a breeze to clean, making this one of the best air fryer deals I've seen this year.
I've got one of those AnySharp knife sharpeners to keep my kitchen knives up to scratch but if you want to go all the way with a convenient knife block with a built-in sharpener, then this is a great price for a premium set from Ninja that's just £10 more than the previous record-low. You'll never suffer from dull knives again with this extremely handy kitchen gadget, with its five-piece set of stainless knives and included paring scissors.
This fabulous bean-to-cup coffee machine received 4.5 stars in our review thanks to the way it gives you total control over the brewing process. It's much more transparent than most similar machines, letting you easily tweak the grind size, temperature, and extraction time. With over £100 off, this is its best price since Prime Day earlier in the year.
This is one of our favourite compact automatic espresso machines, and it's back down to within £20 on its lowest-ever price. It's a joy to use (those touch buttons are much easier than a screen) and has a super smart system that uses all the milk from the carafe so there's nothing left to go bad.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Laptops
I've got a very nice selection of discounted laptops here for you, but I think if I had to choose one I'd go for the MacBook Air M3 as I love my MacBook Air.
Display - 14 inches
Processor - Intel Celeron N100
RAM - 4GB
Storage - 128GB
One of the best cheap laptops in the Amazon Prime Day sale is this HP Chromebook 14. It's a very basic device but suitable for those who need a portable and inexpensive laptop with reasonable battery life and a good amount of storage to handle schoolwork or light use. This is a safe if unremarkable choice at a budget price with an impressive 12-hour battery life and a decent-sized 14-inch display.
Display - 14 inches
Processor - Intel i5
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 512GB
If you want a good value Windows laptop, then this configuration of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a strong buy. It features an Intel i5 processor, 16GB of RAM and a large 512GB SSD to ensure strong overall performance and lots of speedy storage for the price. While it features some older components, it's still a top buy right now if you're on a budget and need a mid-range laptop for general everyday use, admin tasks and light work.
Display - 15.6 inches
Processor - Intel Core i5
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 256GB
This version of the Asus Chromebook Plus offers an impressive amount of power for the price. It includes 8GB of RAM and an Intel i5 processor, boosting performance, boot times and load times. There's also a decent 256GB of storage for the price, and battery life is excellent at 12 hours on a single charge. That's more than enough to last a full working day. At a little over £300, it's a bargain for school or college, or just as a home laptop for light use and everyday tasks.
Display: 15.6-inch OLED
Processor: Intel i7
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB
It's a bit older now, but I'd highly rate this Asus Vivobook 15 OLED when it comes to value for money. For £550, you get a powerful machine with an Intel i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD. Plus, there's also an OLED display - something you usually only see on higher-end machines. Generally speaking, the specs here are more than adequate for the basics, and this lightweight machine is perfect for watching videos or editing photos thanks to its decent display.
Display: 13.6 inches
Processor: Apple M4
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 256GB
This MacBook Air with the M4 chip is the latest version of Apple's popular laptop and it's now available at a record-low price on Amazon. You get a great-looking 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, while the boost to 16GB of RAM keeps all your programs running smoothly. It's just a shame Apple still insists on only 256GB of storage as standard, which feels a little miserly in 2025. Nevertheless, this is still one of the best laptops you can buy if you need a performance powerhouse for productivity and creative tasks.
Display - 13-inch OLED
Processor - Snapdragon X Elite
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 256GB
As a long-time Surface Pro owner, I'm considering an upgrade to one of these new models after this huge discount on the device we were super-impressed with in our review. This version boasts a gorgeous 13-inch PixelSense Flow OLED display at 2880 x 1920 resolution, so it looks sharp and crisp, with some vibrant colours and deep blacks. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon X Elite processor ensures excellent battery life and combines well with its many AI features to simplify your life. There’s also 16GB of memory to ensure speedy performance, and while 256GB of storage is miserly in 2025, it's enough for all of your essential files and applications.
Display - 13.8 inches
Processor - Snapdragon X Elite
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 1TB
The latest Microsoft Surface Laptop shot straight to the top of our best laptop guide and received a glowing five stars in our Microsoft Surface Laptop review, so I'm obviously going to call out this new lowest-ever price at Amazon. This particular specification includes a super-powerful Snapdragon X Elite processor, a healthy 16GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD. That's an excellent set of components for the price, alongside fantastic levels of performance from the CPU, AI capabilities and 20 hours of battery life. It's a top-tier pick to go alongside the swish-looking display and keyboard.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days - Health & Beauty
A nice selection of deals here; I think I might go for one of the electric toothbrushes myself.
The iO range is usually a more expensive option in Oral-B's range of electric toothbrushes, but this is a decent deal on the entry-level option that's also bundled with a few handy extras. It doesn't boast many high-end features but it has the basic ones you really need to brush your teeth effectively and efficiently, including a two-minute timer and a visible pressure sensor. Plus, you get a refill holder, charger pouch and travel case included for free.
It may seem hard to justify such a high price for an electric toothbrush. However, it's still a great value price for one of the top toothbrushes around, and comes bundled with ample accessories.
This deal drops the advanced and top-rated Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush to a little over £100 – a great low price that's only been bested during Black Friday. The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean features four different brushing modes and the pressure sensor will notify you when you're brushing too hard.
Always a hot item during holiday sales events, Amazon has the best-selling Revlon One-Step hair dryer on sale for a record-low price of £24.99. Thanks to the unique oval brush design, the hairdryer delivers a salon-like blowout with brilliant shine and extra volume.
This dental flosser comes from the premium brand Waterpik and there's a big saving available for Prime Day that brings it down to a record-low price. With multiple brush heads, a compact size, ten pressure settings, good battery life, and a large reservoir, it's one of the better options available if it's your first time trying a water flosser.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Headphones
A very healthy selection of headphone deals here. My recommendations would be the XM4, XM5 and WF-C700N modles from Sony. But you can't go wrong with any of the deals here.
The Sony WF-C700N are an excellent pair of cheap earbuds. At this new low price, I think they're an absolute steal and then some. Yes, 20 hours of battery can be bettered – but 15 hours from the buds alone with noise-cancellation on certainly can't at this price point. They're also light and comfortable, and provide an exciting, musical sound.
The older XM4s are outstanding, so it'll come as little surprise to know that the Sony XM5s are also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a whopping £160 off! They don't fold up like the XM4, but they're still a comfortable, smart, great-sounding pair of headphones that block outside sound highly effectively.
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are some of the manufacturer's best in terms of audio quality and noise cancellation – and they're down within £10 of the record-low price for Prime Big Deal Days. This latest model lasts up to 24 hours between both the buds and the case and features new CustomTune technology that adjusts the audio based on your ear shape. The Spatial Audio also makes the listening experience more immersive than ever, with the option to swap between listening modes, depending on if you want to lose yourself in audio or stay alert.
The fantastic Bose QuestComfort Ultra Headphones are back to the same price I saw on Black Friday, so this is a great deal considering that there's a clear step up in sound compared to other premium cans. Superbly detailed and energetic sound meets the best noise cancellation you can get right now, in a light and comfortable design.
If you want to get your hands on Apple's latest AirPods 4, you can find them on sale for a record-low price of £105 at Amazon for Prime Day. The AirPods 4 feature a new design for all-day comfort and pack Apple's H2 chip, which supports personalised spatial audio and voice isolation. You also get a redesigned case with 30 hours of battery life and support for USB-C for wireless charging. The version with active noise cancellation is also reduced to £149 – another lowest-ever price.
These have been some of the most surprising earbuds we've ever tested, scoring a sweet five stars in our Nothing Ear (a) review – and now you can get them for their lowest price ever. Considering the latest AirPods are still around £100, the fact that these offer massively superior sound and great active noise cancellation for far less than AirPods is a no-brainer.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are down to a new record-low price at Amazon for Prime Big Deal Days. We awarded them four stars in our Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro review, praising the refinement over the previous model with AirPods-like ear sticks, active noise cancellation, an 11mm driver, and AI-powered features like a voice-call booster and a translation tool – provided you have a modern Samsung phone. They look and feel good in your ears, too, with up to five hours of battery life with ANC on, so they’re good for your commute or workout.
These headphones are designed with Apple users in mind, but they also have great Android features. There’s personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, but also strong, fully-adaptive ANC and transparency mode. Up to 40 hours of battery life is useful, with a 10-minute charge providing you with four hours of playback and getting you out of a jam. This isn't the absolute cheapest deal we've seen (they've dipped to £149.99 before now). but it's still a top saving given that RRP.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Kindles
Today is one of the best days to score a cut-price Kindle. So I reccomend you hurry!
The best Prime Day Kindle deal in the UK is this £70 discount on the Kindle Colorsoft – a brand new record-low price, no less. Up until this point, good discounts on this model have been quite rare, so this is a good opportunity to get the brand's first-ever colour Kindle, with a seven-inch display, 16GB of capacity, and multi-week battery life.
The cheapest Prime Day Kindle deal in the UK is on the standard Kindle Kids edition – a pretty good buy, even if you're not a kid. Functionally, this model is identical to the standard version, although it does come with a kid-themed case and an extended free trial of the Kids Plus subscription service. With £30 off, this is a new record-low price on this model.
Discounts on the standard Paperwhite are annoyingly absent today at Amazon, but the retailer is offering a superb discount on the Paperwhite Kids version. You're essentially getting the same e-reader here, but with the choice between two kid-themed covers, an extended warranty, and a free Kids Plus trial.
The priciest, and arguably most desirable, Kindle model is on sale for a record-low price in today's early Prime Day deals at Amazon. The Kindle Scribe is a great option if you like to take notes or doodle, as it not only features an expansive 10.2-inch glare-free display, but also doubles up as a handy digital notebook.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Tablets
iPads are the stand out deals here but I think the Fire tablets are worth a look for a cheap and cheerful tech slate.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 sports one of the largest screens across the range, making everything you do much easier to see. Plus, it has a convenient 5MP front-facing camera for taking video calls. It all comes together to provide a slightly faster and more appealing way to use a tablet, while still keeping costs down and providing handy Alexa support. Best of all, today's offer is a new record-low price by a huge margin.
The Fire Max 11 is a bold play by Amazon to muscle in on the iPad's more premium turf, with a 2.2GHz octa-core chip (paired to 4GB RAM), which the company claims makes it almost 50% faster than its next-fastest tablet. A sharp 11-inch 1200 x 2000 display, Dolby Atmos audio and up to 14 hours of battery life round out a promising spec sheet on this larger and decent everyday tablet. Today's offer is fine, but it has been £15 cheaper in the past.
If your child would prefer a larger tablet, then you can instead plump for the Fire HD 10 Kids at just £5 more than the previous record-low price. The same parental controls and protective case are included with this device, but it also offers performance upgrades and the biggest display for those after a better browsing, streaming and gaming experience.
If you'd prefer a smaller iPad, Amazon's Prime Day sale has knocked £38 off the price of the M4-powered iPad mini. This small but welcome saving applies to the Blue and Starlight variants, but the Purple and Space Grey variants have been discounted, too. In our Apple iPad mini A17 Pro (2024) review, we praised the new tablet's "pocket-friendly design" and "ability to support Apple Intelligence." Even if you can find the previous-gen iPad mini on sale for a cheaper price, we think this new model is the better, more future-proof buy.
In our iPad Pro (2024) review (albeit for the 13-inch model), we describe Apple's latest flagship tablet as "the impossibly thin king of iPads – and maybe all tablets." Naturally, that level of quality comes at a premium, but Amazon has seen fit to discount the 256GB, Wi-Fi-only variant of the 11-inch iPad Pro (2024) to a slightly more digestible price of £929.98 for Prime Day.
Apple's latest base iPad is on sale for a record-low £284 right now. The most significant upgrade for this model versus the previous generation is the newer A16 chip for faster performance, but you'll also get double the storage as standard (128GB instead of 64GB). Other features include a sharp 11-inch Liquid Retina display and solid 12MP front and back cameras, which make this iPad the best iPad for casual streamers and scrollers.
The new iPad Air is the closest thing you can get to an iPad Pro without having to pay upwards of £1,000, which is why we believe it's the best iPad for students in 2024. For almost half the price of Apple's professional-grade iPad, you'll get a beautiful Liquid Retina display, a MacBook-level M3 chipset, a landscape-oriented front-facing camera, and landscape stereo speakers with spatial audio. The larger 13-inch model is also on sale for £729 (was £799).
If you want the biggest and best iPad, the 13-inch iPad Pro is also on sale right now. £1198.98 isn't a record-low at Amazon (this model was £1,149 in December last year), but £100 is a welcome saving on what is objectively the best tablet money can buy.
Amazon Prime Big Deal Days – Smartwatches
Loads of Fitbit and Garmin deals here; I'd suggest checking out the latter as they are some of the best smartwatches.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is now available at a record-low price for Prime Day. The last generation high-end smartwatch boasts a bright display and S9 chipset, in addition to convenient features like Double Tap gestures. It offers three different bands, including a lightweight Trail Loop one for athletes and hikers, in addition to the waterproof Ocean band for swimmers. No matter the exercise, it can last up to 36 hours on one charge and up to 72 hours on Low Power Mode.
The dedicated fitness tracker has dropped to its cheapest price for Amazon Prime Day. It's a small but welcome £45 saving on a device we found lighter, prettier and smarter compared to the previous version in our Fitbit Charge 6 review. Key features include a seven-day battery life, onboard GPS and GLONASS, sleep tracking, smart wake, SpO2 blood oxygen tracking and all the other features the excellent Charge 5 offered.
Although it's getting old now, the solid Fitbit Versa 4 is down to under £130 at Amazon. It is water resistant up to 50m with built-in GPS, offers six days of battery life, loads of workout profiles and advanced sleep tracking. Six months of Fitbit Premium is included in the price so, as we wrote in our Fitbit Versa 4 review, it's a great buy for fitness and sleep tracking enthusiasts.
The Vivoactive 5 is Garmin's answer to the Apple Watch, the Pixel Watch or the Samsung Galaxy Watch: a long-lasting fitness tool with extensive health monitoring features, sleep logging, workout tracking and all of Garmin's usual fitness features, while retaining the look of a proper smartwatch. Save sixty quid.
Most sizes of the Garmin Fenix 8 have small discounts, but by far the biggest is the 43mm version, which nets you a saving of over £100. I called the Fenix 8 "rugged, expensive perfection" in my review, and awarded it a perfect five stars. I'd recommend it to anyone with a larger budget and is looking for an all-terrain fitness companion.
A smaller 35mm case with a unique patterned lens, the Lily is Garmin's attempt to make a daintier watch that still packs a lot of its fitness tools. You can save £40 on Amazon right now.
This year's excellent AMOLED Garmin Instinct 3 watch earned 4.5 stars in my review, and right now you can save 21% off list price. With Garmin's LED torch, an up-to-date suite of fitness metrics and tough rugged aesthetics, it's ready for the trail. This discount is only available in the 45mm size and black colorway.

One super-cheap smartwatch

Now it's a fairly basic TV, but if you just need a reasonably large display for streaming shows and films, then the value for money is undeniable on the Amazon 50-inch 4-Series 4K Fire TV.
Amazon 50-inch 4-Series 4K Fire TV: was £499.99 now £299.99 at Amazon
Read all about it – Kindle Colorsoft for a record-low price
As I mentioned earlier, a standout offer is this record-low price for the newest Kindle Colorsoft.
The bright and vibrant ereader is an excellent buy if you enjoy reading graphic novels, image-heavy books, or love to see your library in all its colourful glory. It doesn't skimp on features elsewhere either, with a seven-inch display, eight weeks of battery life, and storage space for thousands of books.
Amazon Kindle Colorsoft: was £239.99 now £169.99 at Amazon
Right I'm going to move from a bit of a stream of thought here to highlighting some of the best deals you can buy before the sales is over.
How do you all feel about the Amazon deals? I reckon they are reasonable this year but I don't feel there are any amazing standout bargains just yet.
Let me just have a sidebar thought: Xbox Game Pass is due for a price hike, so I think now is a good time to score access to the service while it's still at a reasonable price.
Three months is around £11 cheaper than usual at ShopTo. Once again, this is the place to shore up a quarter of a year's worth of subscription time.
Price check: £38.99 at Argos | £44.97 at Amazon
It's gone 5:30pm, so I'm hoping that there are a suite of you readers on your way home for a bit of online retail therapy led by my recommendations.
One deal that I'd absolutely grab if I didn't already have one is a discount iPad mini.
I love this compact tablet and basically don't travel without it. Sure the discount isn't huge but it's fair for such a capable fondle slab of tech.
As someone who's lazy when it comes to wet shaving I'm tempted by this Philips electric razor...
And do check out Amazon's deals under £50, as there's usually some good stuff in there.
I'd also suggest checking out the Amazon Haul deals - these may not be filled with quality products, but a bit of sifting and you can find some bargains, especially with the Prime Day sale in full swing.
If you want any deals buying advice, feel free to drop me a line on roland.moore-colyer@futurenet.com.
It's also a good time to snap up boring but much needed stuff like batteries. This Duracell deal is rather decent, all things considered.
It's not the most glamorous deal but this is a good price for a set of 24 batteries at Amazon from the big-name brand Duracell. These are always a handy buy for a variety of tech items and gadgets.
Given the Prime Day sales in July was four days long, you'd be forgiven for having a bit of deal fatigue. But this is why I think it's good to look at products you might not normally consider; in my case kitchen ger versus my normal desire for tech.
I'd say some of the home and kitchen appliances have had some of the most compelling discounts this Prime Day 2.
The knife block meets sharpener below from Ninja is one such example.
What I am considering shaking out my wallet for is an air fryer. I've yet to jump on the air frying trend but seeing that some in this list are particularly well discounted, I'm tempted to consider snapping one up.
An Amazon Fire HD tablet also has some appeal but I have an iPad mini so don't think I'll snap one up. But for others looking for a cheap tablet it could be just the ticket.
I've yet to snap up any Amazon device deals myself, but a Kindle Colorsoft is somewhat tempting.
I'm talking Kindles, Ring, Fire and Echo devices. Kindles especially don't get big discounts outside of Amazon's on sales days.
Now Amazon Big Deal Days is/are a preamble to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which take place in November. But don't dismiss this sales as its a good time to buy Amazon's own products.
Now there'll surely be some deals that hang around after the clock tick over into tomorrow but I reckon all the best ones will only be live today. This Is based on my extensive experience in covering deals at TechRadar and beyond.
The sale started yesterday (October 7) and is running today until midnight or 00:00 hours on October 9.
Or to give the sale its proper name: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. That's one clunky title but this sale is basically Prime Day 2, following on from the one in July.
Ok so you've got around 7 hours left of Prime Day deals in the UK. So best get shopping.
Good afternoon! Roland Moore-Colyer here, Managing Editor of Deals at TechRadar ready to take you on a journey to score some great Amazon Prime Big Deal Days bargains before the day is over.
