Is Babbel free?
Babbel isn't a free service, but new users can get their first lesson free, so they can trial the platform before they commit to a plan. You'll get up to 80 free lessons available overall depending on the language you pick - just create or sign in to an account, then start a lesson through the browser. After you've completed your first session, you'll either roll on to the next free one or have the choice to pay for a subscription if you want to continue with the service.
How much is a Babbel plan?
How much you'll pay for a Babbel plan depends on any active promotions and the length and type of plan you pick. Customers can choose from business and individual plans, with monthly, 3-month, 6-month, yearly and lifetime options available.
The usual price of Individual plans is $17.95 paid monthly, $18.99 a month for 3-month plans, $13.50 a month for 6 months, and $9 a month for a year. Business plans, which can cover multiple users, can offer the service for as little as $8.99 per month per user.
Finally, the Lifetime plan option - the most frequently discounted - generally sits around $100 - $300. For each of these options, promotions can discount the usual prices by as much as 40%, so keep your eyes peeled for extra chances to save.
Is there a Babbel student discount?
Yes, all college students can get a 3-month Babbel plan for $15.99, meaning you'll only pay around $5 a month (a massive $13.99 or 75% off the usual 3-month plan). To receive this offer, you just need to verify your status as a US resident enrolled at a US college via ID.Me.
Does Babbel offer refunds?
All Babbel customers can make the most of the brand's 20-day money back guarantee to get a full refund on their plan, so long as they contact the team before this period ends. Refunds may still be considered after the 20 days are up, but will be pro-rated based on the time left on your plan if approved. Watch out for purchases through the Apple Store, as these are subject to Apple's own returns policy (not Babbel's).
