Avast offers customers free versions of its software which are available to download for Windows and iOS, as well as Apple & Android mobile & tablets. However, although still designed to offer protection online, the features included in free versions are more limited than their paid counterparts. How much does Avast cost?
That depends on the plan you choose. As mentioned above, Avast's offering spans antivirus, a VPN, device clean-up & driver installers tools, and identity protection. Prices can start from as little as $2.49 per month and climb as high as $11.59 per month.
A number of factors will affect how much you pay for your plan. First, the plan you choose. For example, clean-up tools are cheaper than the brand's VPN. Second, the more devices your plan covers, the more you'll pay.
Avast also offers first-year discounts to encourage new customers to sign up. Anyone going into their second year of membership will find prices increasing. The brand also offers bundles of software, which usually include multiple tools under one subscription, which tend to save you money versus paying for each service separately.
How do I manage my Avast subscription?
An Avast subscription can be managed through your account portal on the Avast website. All Avast products are sold as continuous subscriptions, with payments automatically taken at the end of each subscription period. You are free to cancel a subscription prior to each billing date to avoid unwanted purchases.
How can I get a refund on my Avast subscription?

Another way to save on your Avast plan is to simply opt to cover less devices. As standard, Avast offers customers the option to cover 10 devices in one plan. If you only ever use one device to go online, you'll find that plans for individual plans could save you a significant sum over the course of a year. For example, whilst Premium Security for 10 devices will set you back $99.99 (or $69.48 in your first year), opting instead for a plan for 1 Windows PC or Apple Mac will only cost $77.99 per year (or $49.08 in your first year), saving you as much as 30% of the price.
