Is Xfinity Residential available in my area?
Xfinity Residential currently covers 41 states, and you can use the plan builder to see which services are available where you live. Just provide your zip code to see the list of possible connectivity options for your home.
How fast is Xfinity internet?
That will depend on your plan and where you live. Xfinity plans can offer from 75 Mbps right up to 2100 Mbps. For example, the Connect More plan offers up to 400 Mbps connections for up to 5 devices at once, whilst Gigabit x2 plan pushes that to 2100 Mbps for unlimited devices simultaneously.
Using Xfinity's plan builder will tell you which options are available in your area, and if you're a current customer, you can use the Xfinity speed test tool to see if you're getting the speeds you signed up for.
How much is Xfinity internet?
The cheapest plan the brand offers comes in at $24.99 per month, whilst its more expensive options can cost above $150. Generally, the higher speed limits you opt for, the more you'll pay, plus additional features or bundles including multiple services will cost you more per month (although choosing bundles can save you as much as 40% versus the cost of taking out different plans for different services individually).
Does Xfinity offer student discounts?
Although there's not a traditional student discount program, Xfinity has a page dedicated to its student deals, which can discount services across its offering for anyone still studying. These deals can range from up to $40 off your plan each month, to up to 50% off selected hardware. You'll also see a number of package deals encouraging you to take out multiple services in one go, with better prices on services such as home phones or internet when they're paired with additional services like home security or TV streaming.
Refer a friend
If you know someone who'd like Xfinity's residential offering, whether its just internet, or a package that combines internet with a home phone or home security, you can refer them to earn them a discount. Doing so will net them $50 off their first internet bill, whilst you'll earn $50 for each service they sign up for (so $150 if they sign up for internet, a home phone & home security). You can refer as many friends as you like, but your rewards are capped at $500 each year.
Join Xfinity Rewards
As an Xfinity customer, you can sign up to the brand's reward's program to earn rewards just for being with the service, with more perks the longer you've been with the provider. Signing up is completely free through the website and can net you discounted sports & events tickets, lower prices on films to stream, up to 50% off accessories, and more. As well as savings on its own hardware & plans, Xfinity also partners with a range of popular brands and attractions (including Universal Studios) to make its rewards more enticing.
Go paperless with your bills
Going paperless can help you save money on your bills with Xfinity. When customers opt in to auto-pay and paperless billing (meaning your bills will be paid automatically each month and can be managed by signing in to your account online), they'll save $2 each month if paying via debit or credit card, and $10 each month if paying direct from their bank account.
