FAQs

Does Target offer free shipping?

Yes, Target offers free shipping on most items included in orders over $35. Orders under this total will incur a flat $5.99 shipping fee, unless you have a Target Circle card (which offers free shipping on most items) or a member of Target Circle 360 (which entitles you to free 2-day shipping on most items, plus unlimited free same-day delivery on orders over $35).

What is Target Circle?

Target Circle is the brand's membership program, which grants members various perks to help them save on their shop. There are two main tiers of the program. The free tier, which brings customers personalized deals and bonus rewards on selected products or for meeting certain milestones (i.e. $15 off when you spend $50).

There is also a paid tier - Circle 360 - which costs $99 a year, and gives you unlimited free same-day delivery on most orders. If you're a repeat customer who orders a lot of small orders, the savings on shipping fees can more than make up for the annual fee.

Whichever tier you're on, you'll be able to participate in members' events such as the discount-focused Circle Week, which usually takes place around the same time as Amazon Prime Day and can offer up to 50% off items across the Target range.

What is the Target return policy?

Target offers a whopping 90-day returns period of most items, meaning you can send them back for a refund if you aren't 100% happy (so long as they are unopened). The brand also offers a full 365-day return period on its own-brand items. However, this is only 30 days for electronics, and 14 days for Apple & Beats products.

If you purchased online, Target will provide a free shipping label for you to use to save on fees. Just contact their team and notify them of your intention to return your order to get started. Note that items that are not sent back unopened and in new condition will not be eligible for full refunds.

Target Saving tips

Shop seasonal sales

Target offers several sales throughout the year, from the bigger events around Labor Day, Black Friday and Christmas to the smaller year-round deals, which can provide as much as 50% off selected products. Here at TechRadar, we keep a close eye on the latest sales the retailer offers, adding details on deals to this page as we find them - make sure to pay us a visit around the holidays to see the best ways to save.

Look for clearance deals

Target often sells off the last of stock it wants to get rid of at significant discounts, which can offer as much as 80% off the usual prices. The clearance range includes thousands of items spanning beauty, clothing, toys, home & garden and more, with new deals added on a regular basis. Make sure to snap up any deals you like the look of sooner rather than later though, as they're only around whilst stocks last.

Download the app

If you want to streamline your shopping experience and stay up to date with the latest news and deals from Target, there's no better way to do so than downloading the brand's free app. Simply sign in, and you'll be automatically logged in (or signed up) to Target Circle, the brand's reward program. Not only will you get notified of app-only discounts to help you save more on your orders, you'll also get 1% cashback on all purchases you make here, plus a gift of 5% off one order on your birthday.

Consider a Circle Credit card

If you're in the market for a credit card, the Target Circle Card is the brand's own credit card available to members of its reward program, Target Circle. You can only use the card on Target purchases, but doing so will net you an automatic 5% discount on most purchases, helping you save in the long run.

Target also offers a Mastercard, which can be used with any retailer that accepts credit. Although this card won't give you a discount on your orders with the brand, you will get 2% cashback on selected purchases including gas and dining, and 1% back on all other purchases. Approvals are subject to successful applications online and subsequent credit checks.

Get a price match

If you see an item you've purchased from Target offered for less up to 14 days after you've ordered, get in touch with the brand. Provide evidence of the new price and your order, and the store will refund you the difference to guarantee you don't miss out on the new deal. Note this only applies to price drops Target itself offers - the brand no longer price matches with competitors.

Join the newsletter

Don't fancy downloading the app? You can stay up-to-date with the latest Target news by joining the newsletter. Just provide your chosen email address, and you'll be sent regular emails detailing new deals, products and more, including the likes of Weekly Ad previews and personalized deal alerts to help you save.

How we source coupon codes

Whether it's through our affiliate networks, the depths of the world wide web, or our connections with big name brands, here at TechRadar we use every tool at our disposal to source the latest codes. Our coupons team updates each of our pages multiple times a week with the most recent deals, including exclusive coupons negotiated by our Commercial team. We also include the latest sales info directly from retailers to offer the most up-to-date discounts around.

How we test coupon codes

Each coupon you find on TechRadar has been tested before being uploaded by our dedicated Deals & Offers teams. You’ll see a range of offers, from free shipping to student discounts, with savings available on all kinds of products & services. To make sure every coupon is ready to use, we don’t list any user-specific or one-time codes.

We also include all relevant information about coupons, such as expiry dates and any terms & conditions, near the ‘Get Code’ button. You can see the details for an individual offer by clicking on the ‘Terms & Conditions’ text below the code and expanding the code area.

What to do if a coupon code doesn’t work

Although we do our best to ensure all listed codes are tried & tested, sometimes coupons expire or terms & conditions are changed before we can update pages. Our team works hard to make sure our coupons are active and work as intended, and should you encounter an issue when using one, we’ll work just as hard to help.

The best place to start is by checking the requirements. Click “View terms and conditions” to expand the code section and see any guidance on your chosen coupon. For example, you may need to meet a minimum spend, add other items to your basket to qualify for a multibuy offer, or confirm that your chosen code applies to the items in your basket (i.e. 10% off laptops).

If you’re still having issues using your code, you can email our customer service team on coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Include as many details as possible - such as which code you used and which coupon page it’s listed on so our team can address your issue as fast as possible.

How we make money

When it comes to coupons, TechRadar earns money via a commission-based model. For every brand we have a coupon page for, we’ve negotiated a deal that means we earn a percentage of total basket value in commission back from every order.

Using this model means we can offer our coupons to our customers free of charge. You won’t pay any fees to add your chosen coupon to your basket - you’ll simply pay the final order total once your discount has been applied.
