What is Straight Talk My Rewards?
Customers can join Straight Talk My Rewards to earn loyalty points that can be saved to save on their orders. Signing up is free through the brand's site, whether you're a new or existing customer. Just provide your phone number, email address, device serial or SIM card number to get started.
Once you've signed up, you'll start earning points on your purchases, whether that's for new devices & accessories, new plans or just your scheduled monthly renewal. Earned points can be redeemed against orders at the checkout, and are applicable to the carrier's tech, plans, services & add-ons as you see fit.
Perks don't stop there, though: members can earn additional points by playing games & watching video clips in the member's zone, sharing Straight Talk posts on social media, and referring friends to the carrier. To top it off, you'll also be sent exclusive members-only Straight talk discounts, as well as partner deals for cinema tickets & restaurant meals that are both regional and local to your area.
Does Straight Talk have a trade-in program?
Yes, Straight Talk will buy old phones from you through it's trade-in program, which lets you get a quote for a device when you provide details online. The price will depend on the model and condition, but if you're happy with what's on offer, you can ship it to the carrier for free and be paid your quoted price in the form of a Universal Mastercard Prepaid card. This card can then be used to discount future orders, whether that's new devices & accessories, or a new plan.
Does Straight Talk accept returns?
Customers can return devices they no longer want to Straight Talk, so long as they do so within 30 days of receiving their order. You can initiate a return by contacting the brand's customer service team. Items will need to be sent in their original packaging and in like-new condition to be eligible for a refund or exchange. Note that you will need to pay for your own return shipping, and the return policy does not apply toplans & SIM cards.

Bring your own phone
If you already own a smartphone but are looking to change networks, you can save money on your plan by bringing your own device. When you join Straight Talk with your own phone, the carrier offers their unlimited data plan for $25 per month (a $10 discount versus the bronze unlimited plan), plus you'll be given $200 credit towards buying a new device when you've been with the network for 12 months.
Get a free Walmart+ membership
Straight Talk partners with Walmart to include a free Walmart+ Membership with its Gold & Platinum Unlimited plans, meaning you can get additional shopping perks alongside limitless data, text and talk. A Walmart+ membership usually usually costs $12.95 per month, and nets you free shipping on all Walmart orders without a minimum spend, as well as discount on fuel at Walmart locations. The brand also throws in free Paramount Plus (with ads) and (ad-less) Pluto TV subscriptions, helping you save on your entertainment too.
Buy a refurbished device
Straight Talk sells a number of refurbished handsets that can be up to 60% cheaper than buying a new device. These devices are second-hand, but have been inspected to ensure they're operational, and factory reset ready to be set up out of the box. Although you won't usually find the latest models available here, this is a great place to find a hefty discount if you don't need a brand new handset.
