Cyber Monday officially takes place on November 29 this year, and if you’re looking for coffee maker deals, this is the day we're most likely to see the biggest variety of models on offer. However, as we've already mentioned, we have started to see several discounts dropping as part of retailers' early Black Friday sales, with savings ranging anywhere from 10% or 50%. The best deals so far have been on single-serve coffee machines, rather than the more expensive espresso and bean-to-cup makers.
Will we see even better deals on the day itself? What Cyber Monday coffee maker deals do we expect to see in 2021?
Many of the biggest names in coffee machines will be reduced in the run-up to and over the holiday sales period. Last year, just over a week before Cyber Monday, Nespresso, DeLonghi and Keurig slashed the price of a selection of machines. However, they've gone even earlier this year as we'd already seen substantial savings on designs from all three of these brands, both in the US and over the water in the UK.
Similarly, following the success of Cyber Monday last year, we've already seen discounts on some Lavazza and Tassimo coffee machines, and again we anticipate there are even bigger savings to be had as we creep closer to the day itself.
As we've already mentioned, you'll find Cyber Monday coffee maker deals on a range of different types of coffee machines; from the affordable drip-coffee makers and the smaller, more compact single-serve coffee machines, to the more expensive espresso makers and bean-to-cup machines.
Although these coffee machines are usually more expensive, they can save you extra money in the long term because you won't need to purchase additional equipment, such as a milk frother or a separate coffee grinder.
Tips for buying a coffee machine this Cyber Monday
When it comes to buying a coffee machine on Cyber Monday, as much research as you can do in advance, will ensure selecting the right deal for you on the day itself is incredibly quick and simple.
Start by deciding what type of coffee machine you want. Single-serve coffee makers, often called pod machines offer a simple and mess-free way to make espresso at home, but come with an on-going cost when it comes to the capsules used. However, not all pod machines are compatible will all capsules, so if you have a particular brand you prefer, make sure the coffee makers you're looking at work with your choice of pod.
When it comes to Nespresso, there are two types of capsule, the iconic original pods and the newer, large Vertuo capsules. These have a barcode on them that provides the machine with the ideal brewing temperature and volume for different types of coffee, but they are more expensive than the original-style pods.
Alternatively if you want more control over aspects of the coffee such as temperature, brew time and volume, then consider an espresso machine. These are more fiddly to use, as they make you the barista, but are great for anyone that has a likes their coffee brewed in a specific way.
For those that want coffee-shop worth drinks without any hassle, look for a bean-to-cup machine that take on the grinding and tamping of coffee, letting you tweak the brew time and temperature, but all through just one or two button presses. Just like espresso machines, some of these coffee makers come with with built-in steam wands and milk carafes, while other will require an additional milk frother to enjoy longer drinks, so consider what coffee you want to want to make.
Finally, for those that like filter coffee, a drip coffee maker will ensure access to large quantities of java.
Now, you'll need to do some price checking. While we're bringing you all the lowest prices from around the web right here, if you're going it alone, it's imperative to check discounts against a range of retailers to ensure you really are getting a good deal. Some will even throw in free capsules or longer guarantees, or offer bundles that include milk frothers to get the edge over their competitors as well, so be sure to cast your net wide.
