How much does a Trend Micro plan cost?
You'll find three main plans available, with the more advanced plans containing more features and costing more per month. The most basic is the Internet Security plan, which is usually charged at $79.99 per month and includes ransomware & scam protection, social media & child privacy, and system optimization tools.
The Maximum Security plan adds mobile device protection, the brand's password manager, and a dark web monitor which notifies you if your personal data has been leaked. This plan usually costs $99.99 per month. Finally, the Premium Security Suite plan costs $149.95 and adds on a VPN and a suite of credit & fraud protection features, as well as priority support.
Each plan can be taken out for 12 or 24 months, although you won't get a discount for choosing a longer plan like you might with some other providers. If you're looking to save on the cost of your chosen plan, your best bet is to sign up during a sales period, which can discount your plan of choice by as much as 70%.
Can I get a Trend Micro free trial?
Yes, you can find versions of the brand's premium software available to download in the free tools section of its site. Once your software has downloaded and installed, sign in to your account to begin your 30-day free trial. During your trial, you'll have access to all premium features, letting you decide if the service is for you before you start paying for a subscription. Just make sure to cancel your plan before the 30 days up if you don't want to start paying.
How many devices can I protect with Trend Micro?
Different plans have different limits on the number of devices you can protect at once. The Internet Security plan has the smallest limit, covering up to 3 devices, whilst the Maximum Security plan extends this to 5 devices. The most devices you can cover on one plan is ten, which will require the Premium Security Suite plan.
What is the Trend Micro return policy?
Customers can request a refund on any Trend Micro plans & products within 30 days of making their purchase thanks to the brand's money-back guarantee. Check the features in your plan
There are a few different tiers of Trend Micro plans, with more advanced plans usually including more features and costing more as a result. For example, although the Premium Security Suite plan includes all the features the brand has to offer, you may not need identity fraud insurance, 24/7 priority assistance, coverage for 10 devices, a VPN and a password manager. In this case, the Internet Security plan, which covers up to 3 devices and still includes scam, ransomware and virus protection, may be enough to meet your needs for around half the price.
Make the most of free tools
You can find a number of free tools available to download through the Trend Micro website, which can give you & your computer a baseline level of protection without a paid plan. The brand also includes a number of versions of its premium software, which can downloaded for free to start a trial period when you sign in.
You can find Trend Micro's VPN, antivirus for mobile & PC, scam detector, and ad blocker in the free tools section, as well as performance & browsing history scanners, a password manager & generator, and personal data protection tools. Make sure to check whether your download is a fully free version or simply a way to start your premium free trial.
