100+ outstanding Amazon Prime Day discounts, vetted by deal experts: from headphones to ereaders, appliances & much more

Save on Kindles, AirPods, Echo speakers, iPads, Fire TV Sticks, Meta Quest, PS5 and more

A warm welcome to readers joining us on day 3 of Amazon's October Prime Day sale – the online retail giant's prelude to Australia's Black Friday deals.

Shop all Amazon deals now

If you've already been shopping, then you know that the sale kicked off at 00:01am AEDT on October 7, but if you still haven't begun your bargain hunting, then know that you have another four days left to shop this sale. It will end at 11:59pm AEDT on Monday, October 13.

It's another full seven days of deals, which surely begs the question: shouldn't the sale now be called 'Prime Week'? Although one could argue the sale is longer than a week because Amazon unlocked 'early' deals a few days before October 7, discounting select Echo smart devices, nearly all its Fire TV Sticks, and a few Ring and Blink security cameras three days prior to sale start.

Now there's a plethora of big brands to shop – think Dyson, Apple, Sennheiser, Samsung, Sony and more – and the way Amazon lists its offers can make hunting them down quite painstaking as not all offers are listed on the Prime Big Deal Days landing page.

So my team and I doing the hard work for you, trawling through listings to find the best discounts on tech. There have been some excellent price drops already and there's quite the selection of deals going for half price or less.

Remember that you need to be a Prime member to shop most of the offers listed below (we've marked them with a pink label). If you aren't a Prime member, you can sign up now to get a 30-day free trial that covers the sale (and then some), and you can always cancel any time.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
Save 29% (AU$202)
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion: was AU$699 now AU$497 at Amazon

One of the best cheap phones in Australia, this Motorola handset is packed full of value if you don't need the latest and bestest phone on the market. For your money, you get a vivid display, impressive battery life and very good everyday performance. Don't expect it to handle heavy gaming, but its plenty for the average user. And this 29% discount makes it quite affordable indeed.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE (256GB)
Save 21% (AU$251.01)
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE (256GB): was AU$1,199 now AU$947.99 at Amazon

With some significant improvements under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE also comes at a marked-up price compared to its predecessor and, at full price, isn't all that far off the flagship S25's price point. This 21% discount, however, drops this into the mid-range category. Although please note that this offer is on the 256GB Jetblack model only.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge
Save 29% (AU$600)
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: was AU$2,049 now AU$1,449 at Amazon

Samsung's slimmest phone yet has dropped to just under the AU$1,200 mark earlier this year, but I think a AU$600 saving isn't something to scoff at. Whether this will get cheaper is anyone's guess, but if you don't want to wait, pick up the 256GB for 22% off or the 512GB for a decent 20% discount via the same listing on a premium skinny Android handset.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus (64GB, Wi-Fi)
Save 27% (AU$104)
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus (64GB, Wi-Fi): was AU$379 now AU$275 at Amazon

One of Samsung's best cheap 11-inch tablets is now available at a decent 27% discount. It's been around 35% off, but getting a tablet of this calibre at under AU$300 is a good deal in my books. If you don't need a heck of a lot of storage, grab this bargain tablet, whether you're looking for a movie streamer, web browser or a reasonable multi-tasking companion.

Apple iPad 2025 (Wi-Fi, 128GB)
Save 12% (AU$74)
Apple iPad 2025 (Wi-Fi, 128GB): was AU$599 now AU$525 at Amazon

It's not very often we see the latest iPad models get double-digit discounts, and this isn't the lowest price we've seen on the 2025 entry-level iPad (that was AU$487 in June), but a AU$74 saving shouldn't be overlooked. Powered by the A16 chip, this is a fantastic tablet for most users, unless you want a laptop-replacing powerhouse.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9
Prime exclusive
Save 55% (AU$720)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9: was AU$1,299 now AU$579 at Amazon

Matching the lowest price we've ever seen, the Galaxy Tab S9 is worth considering no matter what you want a tablet for. It comes with the S Pen, which makes it suitable for artists and notetakers and at this price it's not too pricey for it to be a casual slate for watching shows or browsing the web. Plus, Samsung has guaranteed security updates for the Galaxy Tab S9 until 2028, so it still has many years of life left in it.

Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro, Wi-Fi, 256GB)
Save 12% (AU$120)
Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro, Wi-Fi, 256GB): was AU$999 now AU$879 at Amazon

Announced in October 2024, this compact iPad has a slightly more powerful chip under the hood than the entry-level model listed above, and the better discount is on the 256GB storage option. With Apple Pencil and Smart Folio support, this 8.3-inch slate is not just portable, but would be a handy device to have if you're working on the go.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2024)
Prime exclusive
Save 21% (AU$63)
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2024): was AU$299 now AU$236 at Amazon

A 17% discount is a little disappointing, but then the 2024 Paperwhite remains one of the best Kindles you can get. Its E Ink Carta 1300 screen is fantastic, page turns are quick and we gave it 4 stars in our review. My only complaint with it is that a significant chunk of its 16GB storage is taken up by the OS, which isn't really a deal breaker.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (2024)
Prime exclusive
Save 19% (AU$64)
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (2024): was AU$329 now AU$265 at Amazon

With more storage, a brighter screen and wireless charging, the Paperwhite Signature Edition is arguably better value than the base model above. What's more, this 19% discount brings the price to a new all-time low in Australia, coming in at AU$2 less than what I've seen previously. Don't need a colour screen? Then check this ereader out.

Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024; 16GB)
Prime exclusive
Save 31% (AU$200)
Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024; 16GB): was AU$649 now AU$449 at Amazon

Kindles are known for their reading capabilities, but with the Kindle Scribe, you get that and a whole lot more. With a wide range of writing features, you can take notes, create sketches and brainstorm like a pro. I use it every day and love the 10.2-inch glare-free screen that has its own ambient light sensor to adjust screen brightness automatically, and I can't complain about its battery life either.

The B6 is the top rated budget option in our best power banks buyers guide and outperforms much more expensive models. Ignore the listed RRP – AU$29.99 is the normal price, and while this isn't the cheapest we have seen, AU$25.49 is a decent discount.

Save 38% (AU$30)

Prime exclusive
Save 40% (AU$68)
INIU B64 140W 27,000 mAh power bank: was AU$169.99 now AU$101.99 at Amazon

The INIU B64 is one of our favourite power banks, and while this isn't quite the lowest price we've seen (that was AU$95.99), there's still good bang for buck here. The B64 has up to a massive 140W output for fast charging anything from a phone to a laptop or portable gaming device. The large 27,000mAh (99.9Wh) capacity is (just) flight safe, it can charge three devices at once and is backed by a long three-year warranty.

Prime exclusive
Save 24% (AU$39.90)
Anker 737 24,000mAh 140W power bank: was AU$165 now AU$125.10 at Amazon

At one of the lowest prices we have seen, this is a great deal for a premium power bank. The Anker 737 gets excellent results in our best power banks guide, and has a 140W output, a 24,000 mAh capacity (86.4Wh, so flight safe) and an excellent 85% efficiency. The full discount here is thanks to Amazon's 10% discount when spending over AU$100 promotion for Prime members.

Anker 323 USB-C charger 33W
Prime exclusive
Save 37% (AU$11)
Anker 323 USB-C charger 33W: was AU$29.99 now AU$18.99 at Amazon

This neat little charger doesn’t take up much space and offers USB-A and USB-C ports, capable of fast charging most base model phones from Apple, Google and Samsung. It won’t achieve the maximum wattage requirements of fast charging on more high-end models (such as the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL at 37W, or the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus/Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max at 45W), but it’s a handy travel solution.

Ugreen USB-C Charger 65W
Prime exclusive
Save 40% (AU$21.96)
Ugreen USB-C Charger 65W: was AU$54.95 now AU$32.99 at Amazon

Outputting a maximum of 65W via either one of its USB-C ports (and a maximum of 22.5W via its USB-A port), this charger isn’t just capable of fast charging top iPhones and Samsung Galaxy devices at the highest speed, it’s also worth considering as a laptop charger replacement with its compact size, provided you have a sufficiently capable USB-C cable and your laptop can charge via said cable.

Anker 735 (NANO 2) 65W Charger
Prime exclusive
Save 42% (AU$25.01)
Anker 735 (NANO 2) 65W Charger: was AU$59 now AU$33.99 at Amazon

With two USB-C ports accompanying a single USB-A socket, this Anker charger has a higher 65W output than cheaper models. Its list price has dropped from around the AU$65 mark, and the additional 42% discount currently available makes it quite the bargain. This isn't the cheapest it's been, but it's still highly recommendable at this price.

Belkin BoostCharge Dual USB-C 60W
Save 33% (AU$19.99)
Belkin BoostCharge Dual USB-C 60W: was AU$59.99 now AU$40 at Amazon

Belkin’s a pretty well trusted brand in the phone accessories market, and this phone charger might be attractive to you for that very reason. It offers a maximum output of 60W, via two 30W ports, so it’ll fast charge an iPhone 16/17, Samsung Galaxy S25 or Google Pixel 9/10 alongside a set of earbuds or a smartwatch without a hitch.

Ugreen USB-C Charger 100W
Prime exclusive
Save 28% (AU$22)
Ugreen USB-C Charger 100W: was AU$79.99 now AU$57.99 at Amazon

A 100W charger might seem overkill, but if you’re thinking of simultaneously charging a laptop, phone, set of earbuds and a smartwatch, this is certainly a device to consider. The two top-most USB-C ports can output at a maximum of 100W, while the bottom USB-C port delivers up to 30W and the USB-A port up to 22.5W.

Headphones & speakers

Bose QuietComfort SC
Prime exclusive/Best price
Save 53% (AU$262.50)
Bose QuietComfort SC: was AU$499.95 now AU$237.45 at Amazon

Nearly as good as the premium QuietComfort Ultra, the SC misses out on the Immersive Audio mode. There'll also be a little difference in sound quality as they process sound differently, but it's still excellent, as is the ANC performance. You'll also get a soft case for this foldable headphone. While we often see the QuietComfort SC discounted, this is the best price we've seen to date.

Sennheiser IE 200
Prime exclusive
Save 37% (AU$88.90)
Sennheiser IE 200: was AU$239.95 now AU$151.05 at Amazon

They were 43% off on day 1 of the sale, but even this higher price is one worth considering as they offer a more reliable and stronger connection to your source devices thanks to the wired connection. You will likely need a 3.5mm-to-USB or -Lightning adapter (or one of the best headphone DACs) to get them connected to your phone, but do so and you’ll be rewarded with a gorgeous, high-fidelity sound. And, being Sennheiser, they’re impeccably built and are super comfortable to wear for longer sessions.

Sony LinkBuds S
Save 54% (AU$190.04)
Sony LinkBuds S: was AU$349.99 now AU$159.95 at Amazon

Smaller and lighter than the WF-1000XM5, the LinkBuds S are an alternative flagship wireless in-ears from Sony. That makes them more comfortable to wear, particularly for long periods. As we noted in our 4-star LinkBuds S review, they're still water resistant and offer both good audio quality and noise-reduction, but the sound isn't quite on par with the XM5s. They are, however, massively cheaper than the XM5s thanks to a huge 54% discount.

Apple AirPods 4
Prime exclusive
Save 18% (AU$40.40)
Apple AirPods 4: was AU$219 now AU$178.60 at Amazon

It's not a huge discount but it's been rare to see any price cut on Apple's latest AirPods 4. This pair of buds lacks active noise cancellation but you still get great audio and personalised spatial audio with dynamic head tracking. Additionally, a battery life of up to five hours on a single charge and 30 hours with the included carry case will keep you listening for longer.

Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro
Prime exclusive
Save 44% (AU$176.41)
Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro: was AU$399 now AU$222.59 at Amazon

The Galaxy Buds3 Pro offer exceptional noise cancelling, brilliant audio quality and a long-lasting battery life. We awarded the earbuds four stars in our Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro review, owing to the aforementioned features, though noted a high base price. This 45% isn't the lowest price we've seen, but it's still an enticing deal for Samsung users.

Technics EAH-AZ80 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds
Prime exclusive
Save 43% (AU$195)
Technics EAH-AZ80 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds: was AU$449 now AU$254 at Amazon

Offering poised and revealing sound, along with excellent comfort and microphone quality, this saving is one to consider if you've been on the hunt for a quality pair of earbuds. Though noise cancellation and battery life could use some work, we awarded these earbuds a TechRadar Recommends seal of approval in our Technics EAH-AZ80 review.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds
Prime exclusive
Save 37% (AU$166.85)
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds: was AU$449.95 now AU$283.10 at Amazon

37% off these fantastic buds is definitely a deal worth checking out what has been one of the best true wireless buds until the second-generation was released. Its ANC performance is par excellence and, being Bose, it doesn't compromise on sound either. Standout is the feature called Immersive Audio that makes a huge difference if you like your music 'surrounding' you.

Bose Ultra Open Earbuds
Prime exclusive
Save 37% (AU$165)
Bose Ultra Open Earbuds: was AU$449.95 now AU$284.95 at Amazon

Offering “incredible sound”, the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds have all the power and quality you’d expect from a Bose-branded item while providing the benefits of an open-ear form factor. The Immersive sound is excellent, and there’s also up to seven hours of play time and up to 48 hours of standby time. They simply just work and work very well – now going at a much more accessible price thanks to a 37% markdown on the Moonstone Blue and Iridescent Sunset colourways.

Apple AirPods Pro 2
Save 22% (AU$89)
Apple AirPods Pro 2: was AU$399 now AU$310 at Amazon

They're no stranger to discounts and we're not going to pretend this is the best price we've ever seen, but a saving on the AirPods Pro 2 should never be ignored, especially when the third-gen model will set you back AU$429 from Apple. Great sound, seamless connectivity and excellent ANC are all part of the package.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds (Black Copper)
Prime exclusive
Save 47% (AU$233.95)
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds (Black Copper): was AU$499 now AU$265.05 at Amazon

We gave these stunning earbuds 4.5 stars in our review as they have class-leading audio handling and impeccable sound quality that rivals the best wireless earbuds. With balanced sound, effective ANC and a great battery life, these Sennheiser buds will make any audiophile smile. They were down to around AU$260 earlier this year, so this is only just shy of that and a great time to snap them up.

1More Sonoflow wireless ANC headphones (blue)
Save 30% (AU$38.42)
1More Sonoflow wireless ANC headphones (blue): was AU$129.99 now AU$91.57 at Amazon

Our 1More Sonoflow review praised the comfort of the headphones, as well as the excellent active noise cancelling and up to 70 hours of battery life. This deal is very slightly better than during Black Friday last year, and while not the very lowest price we have seen, it's still an excellent discount.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless
Prime exclusive
Save 55% (AU$319.95)
Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless: was AU$579 now AU$259.05 at Amazon

Sennheiser's fourth generation wireless over-ear cans are fantastic. In our five-star Sennheiser Momentum 4 review, we called these headphones "unbeatable". With active noise-cancellation, 60-hours of battery life and excellent sound quality, there are few pairs that can compete with the Momentum 4. They were AU$258 in July, which was the best price we'd seen, so this price is almost as good. Thee full discount here is thanks to an extra AU$25 Prime discount applied automatically at checkout.

Sony WH-1000XM4
Save 21% (AU$91)
Sony WH-1000XM4: was AU$439 now AU$348 at Amazon

OK, not the best price – they were AU$324 for Black Friday last year – but despite being succeeded by two more generations, the XM4s are still some of the best over-ear headphones you can buy. Delivering a beautiful soundstage that includes a confident low end, they're comfy and even fold down for travel. My colleagues and I have been big fans for a long time and we still can't recommend these highly enough.

Sony WH-1000XM5
Prime exclusive
Save 34% (AU$188.95)
Sony WH-1000XM5: was AU$549 now AU$360.05 at Amazon

Earning five stars in our Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Headphones review, it's safe to say we think they're a great buy at over AU$188 off. Serving up rich, detailed sound and truly effective noise-cancelling, the Sony XM5 are truly superb. They’re comfortable to wear for long periods and benefit from a smartphone app that opens up a huge world of customisation.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones
Prime exclusive
Save 34% (AU$220)
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones : was AU$649 now AU$429 at Amazon

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra are a stunning set of headphones and comfortably the best when it comes to active noise-cancellation. Their sound quality is nothing short of exquisite, and the ability to turn any song into a spatial audio one thanks to Immersive Mode earns it another gold star.

Apple AirPods Max
Save 16% (AU$140)
Apple AirPods Max: was AU$899 now AU$759 at Amazon

Admittedly this isn't a fantastic price, but not listing a discounted premium Apple product just doesn't feel right considering how popular they can be. Sure, Apple's in-ear buds are arguably even more popular, but the cans are also coveted and this 16% discount on just the black variant might entice someone if they've been eyeing it a while.

Anker Soundcore Motion+
Prime exclusive
Save 42% (AU$75.50)
Anker Soundcore Motion+: was AU$179.99 now AU$104.49 at Amazon

JBL Flip 7
Save 13% (AU$22.95)
JBL Flip 7: was AU$179.95 now AU$157 at Amazon

It's not a huge discount but the JBL Flip 7 outperforms its predecessor (which is also discounted and listed higher on this page), getting a full five stars in our review. The sound is a lot punchier than before and that's without compromising details across the range. It even gets a bigger battery to last you up to 16 hours and makes a case for itself at a very good price indeed.

JBL Charge 6
Save 20% (AU$45.95)
JBL Charge 6: was AU$229.95 now AU$184 at Amazon

The Charge 6 is the latest in a successful series of powerful, portable speakers that have a nifty trick up their sleeve. A couple of the colour options are down to AU$324, which isn't too far off the AU$311 price point from July's Prime Day sale.

Our esteemed colleagues at What Hi-Fi? said this turntable from JBL is a surefire winner in the budget space. And this offer is AU$100 cheaper than what it was during the July Prime Day sale.

Save 25% (AU$120)
Corsair K100 Air wireless gaming keyboard: was AU$489 now AU$369 at Amazon

The most striking feature of this mechanical keyboard is its thinness, but it also comes with the promise of sub-1ms latency and 8,000Hz hyper-polling. In our review we praised the K100 Air's durability, great actuation and high polling, while bemoaning the high price of this slab. And yeah: it's expensive. Knock off AU$120 however, and it starts to look a bit more doable.

Apple Watch SE (40mm): was AU$399 now AU$287 at Amazon

I would think the current Apple Watch SE will get cheaper soon since the SE 3 has now been released, and AU$278 is the lowest price we have seen so far. While an older model, this is great value for a no-frills Apple Watch with full-fat fitness tracking. We awarded it four and a half stars in our Apple Watch SE 2 review and we usually see stock levels drop quickly when there's a discount.

RingConn Gen 2 Air: was AU$319 now AU$255.20 at Amazon

Enter the RingConn Gen 2 Air – you get all the basic health tracking you need, including sleep and heart rate, but there's also women's health features here. You miss out on the sleep apnoea detection from the full-fat RingConn Gen 2, so I think this is good value for a discreet health tracker. Please note: you will need to get the sizing kit first for AU$2.99 so you know which size tracker to buy.

One of the best-looking hybrid smart watches on the market, blending analog and digital design layouts, the Scanwatch 2 is probably your best bet if you want a classic design and some of the health tracking features of a typical smart watch. In our Withings ScanWatch 2 review, we found that the companion app was quite easy to use and we liked the inclusion of a skin temperature tracker, though we would have liked some more smart features and the small digital display may not be for everyone.

We called it "the best running watch ever" back in 2022 and its five-star Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar review (which just offers a longer-lasting battery than this non-solar model) supports that statement. It might not be in our guide to the best Garmin, but it's no longer priced like it with this deal, either – making it a great pick up.

Canon PowerShot V1: was AU$1,449 now AU$1,049 at Amazon

This is Canon's first compact camera in years, picking up where the fabulous and popular PowerShot G7 X series left off. It features a brand-new 22.3MP 1.4-inch sensor that boasts Canon's trusty Dual Pixel CMOS II autofocus and it has an integrated fan to keep things cool for the content creator. With plenty of grunt under the hood, this is the best price yet on this relatively new camera.

Akaso Brave 7 LE
Prime exclusive
Save 24% (AU$60)
Akaso Brave 7 LE: was AU$249.99 now AU$189.99 at Amazon

You may not have heard of this brand and dismiss it out of hand but, for its price, our colleagues at Digital Camera World rated it with a 4-star score in their review. Even at full price, it represents excellent value, offering a front screen that even a GoPro doesn't get you. Admittedly its image quality lacks against the big players, but we have it on good authority that it's reliable, easy to use and comes with plenty of accessories in the box.

GoPro Hero
Save 20% (AU$72)
GoPro Hero: was AU$369 now AU$297 at Amazon

The cheapest and most compact GoPro ever, the Hero is designed to be a simple, affordable and easy to use active camera. It only weighs 86g even with a display fitted to the back and its sizeable 4K-capable camera. It can be immersed in up to 5m of water and is fitted with a single capture button for simplicity. Compared to the mainline GoPro active cameras, there aren't as many video options and you only get a choice of three aspect ratios, however the battery life is still impressive at up to 100 minutes.

DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro

With some serious grunt under the hood of this palm-friendly camera, you get AI-powered subject tracking, up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range and even 4K/120p slo-mo recording. This camera was down to AU$458 for a very short period of time in July, but for an action camera that holds up against a GoPro that costs more, this is still decent value.

OM System Tough TG-7
Prime exclusive
Save 15% (AU$96.53)
OM System Tough TG-7: was AU$644.91 now AU$548.38 at Amazon

This is a way better deal than the 15% markdown suggests on Amazon – the retail price of this waterproof and rugged camera is AU$699, so you are essentially getting a very nice 21% discount here. While it's not a huge upgrade over the previous model, the TG-6 is no longer available to buy, making this the best choice if you'd like a near-indestructible camera that you can take underwater. It might even make a good Christmas prezzie for a budding photographer.

Canon EOS R8 (body)
Save 20% (AU$510)
Canon EOS R8 (body): was AU$2,599 now AU$2,089 at Amazon

This might be an entry-level camera but it has some advanced features. Anyone who wants to shoot wildlife or sports will be thrilled with the 40fps burst speed, and it inherits some of the tracking precision from Canon's higher-end cameras too. With a 24.2MP full-frame sensor, it's one of the lightest cameras available today and represents excellent value for a beginner even though this isn't the best price it's been. Please note, however, this discount is via a third-party reseller on Amazon.

OM System OM-1 Mark II (body)
Save 33% (AU$1,244)
OM System OM-1 Mark II (body): was AU$3,799 now AU$2,555 at Amazon

This micro four thirds camera is a real marvel. We were so impressed with it that it scored 4.5 stars in our OM System OM-1 Mark II review. Its image quality is par excellence but its standout features are its superb stabilisation and the built-in graduated ND filters. It's a serious little camera for the serious photographer, and this is near to the lowest price I've seen on Amazon, albeit being offered by a third-party reseller.

Nikon Z6 III (body)
Save 29% (AU$1,309)
Nikon Z6 III (body): was AU$4,499 now AU$3,190 at Amazon

The 24.6MP sensor can shoot at up to 120fps, records 6K video, has built-in image stabilisation and has dual card slots, including one for a CFexpress device to make full use of its speed. Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer Steam: was AU$499 now AU$281.20 at Amazon

Ever cooked with steam in an air fryer? Now you can with this Philips two-drawer air fryer. In my Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket XXL Air Fryer Steam review, I said that it cooks everything really well, but there are some caveats to keep in mind when it comes to the use of steam. Still, it's absolutely worth the investment if you want to upgrade from an old air fryer and you have the space for it.

Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer: was AU$599.99 now AU$331.55 at Amazon

Securing a spot on our list of the best air fryers, our reviewer said this innovative model from Ninja was the "air fryer of my dreams". It takes a familiar double drawer design, but stacks them on top of each other, resulting in a smaller footprint. Performance is exemplary, but just make sure the food you put in isn't that big, as the drawers themselves are on the smaller side at 4.75L each.

A nifty Apple gadget for just AU$35.75

AirTag deals hero image

Apple AirTags have been popular since the day they were announced and, while it's common to see a small discount available on the single unit (currently discounted to AU$40 each), it's typically not a lot (just a AU$9 discount).

However, if you pick up the four-pack of AirTags, you'll be paying AU$143 for it, but that brings each Bluetooth tracker down to just AU$35.75 a pop

So, if you're like me who tends to misplace keys all the time, or you want to track your luggage while you're travelling, or you want to keep tabs on your excitable furry friend, grab the 4-pack AirTags. You will, of course, need to be an Apple user (aka own an iPhone, iPad or MacBook) to use them with the Find My app.

Haul in the ultra-cheap deals

a render image of Amazon Haul on an iPhone

Did you know that there's something called Amazon Haul now available in Australia?

Launched in August this year, Haul is only available on the mobile app (and it still says it's in beta) and is Amazon's answer to Temu and Shein as its home to thousands of affordable products that cost under AU$25.

At present, the only way to find it in the app is to type "Haul" into the search bar on the top of the app's home screen, and you can then filter via specific categories like 'bestseller' or 'electronics'.

The latter, as you would expect, is quite sparse when it comes to actual tech, but you'll find a lot of tech-adjacent items like cheap smartwatch straps, mobile screen protectors and office supplies.

Read all about it: the best Kindle deal this month

A person reading a page of a book on the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2024)

(Image credit: Sharmishta Sarkar / TechRadar)

There were some good Kindle deals during July, but the discounts right now aren't particularly enticing. Although I will admit that 21% off the latest Kindle Paperwhite could tempt some customers – I'd certainly be if I needed one (I have three Kindles already!).

I've done the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (2024) review for TechRadar (heck, I've apparently done over 30 ereader and E Ink tablet reviews for this publications!) and I loved the screen. The E Ink Carta 1300 display shines here, and whatever Amazon has done to the software to tweak performance has worked. It's all quick and snappy and just how you want it. Can't complain about the battery life either.

My biggest complaint was that this tweaked software is quite large and if you're opting for the standard Paperwhite with its 16GB storage, about 4.5GB is taken up by the OS, leaving you with 11.5GB. Now, that's plenty for thousands of ebooks, but if you're purchasing audiobooks as well from the Kindle Store, you'll run out of storage rather quickly.

The other issue I have is that Amazon has disabled Bluetooth connectivity in Australia, so you actually can't listen to those audiobooks you download via a set of paired headphones. To me, that diminishes the per-dollar value of the device.

And yet this is the best Kindle deal to be had right now.

Air fry + steam + discount = deliciously healthy food

The Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer XXL Steam on a table

(Image credit: Sharmishta Sarkar / TechRadar)

There aren't too many air fryers that allow you to cook with steam, but this Philips 5000 Series model does. It's a rare breed, but having steam means you can not only steam vegies and dumplings in an air fryer (steam in an air fryer sounds like an oxymoron!), but you can combine steaming and air frying too.

You read that right, there's a dedicated air fry+steam mode on this dual-basket appliance, which makes it great to keep the moisture within tender meat, and yet get crispy skin on chicken and pork belly. The steam option is only for the bigger basket though.

This premium model also has a steam-clean function, but there are caveats that you can find out more about in my in-depth Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket XXL Air Fryer Steam review.

Yup, I tested this myself and I've found it very useful to have in the kitchen, despite not having steam in both baskets. Everything it cooks turns out really well – no complaints from me! Although I still haven't tried baking anything in it... Anyway, if you have the space to store a dual-basket air fryer, this generous 44% discount is well worth considering (and it's only AU$9 more than its July Prime Day price).

What's in my cart?

A black Oral-B iO 7 electric toothbrush on a red background

That image gives it away, doesn't it? Yes, there's an electric toothbrush in my cart.

Allow me to provide a little context here. I've been using the Oral-B Genius 9000 brush since 2017, then I was offered a smart sonic brush late last year to test and you can read all about it in my Oclean X Ultra S review. As much as I enjoy getting scolded by this talking toothbrush, I find that I much prefer oscillating brushes as the sonic vibrations just don't give me that 'clean' feeling.

Sadly, my old Genius 9000 isn't charging anymore, so it's time to get me a new Oral-B. I was eyeing the Oral-B iO6, which is the middle child of the entire iO series and gives you all the brushing smarts from the more expensive models but misses out on some features, like the interactive display and the magnetic charging stand.

Turns out the iO 7, which has the display and the aforementioned stand, is now discounted to the same price as the iO 6 on Amazon – well, the black variant is anyway – so why not just go with the one that has more features? So there you have it: I'm buying me the Oral-B iO 7 in black.

Hello, shoppers! If you're just joining TechRadar's live coverage of Amazon's October Prime Day sale, then you've come at the right time.

It's day 3 of the sale – right now we're halfway through Prime Big Deals Days – and the good news is that we've seen some price drops since the sale began. Case in point: the Bose QuietComfort Ultra SC that began the sale with a 30% discount and are now a whopping 53% off!

Should you wait for Black Friday? That's up to you – if a price looks right, grab it now and don't look back later.
