Coppa Italia Final 2026: Preview
The teams faced off in a dress rehearsal on Saturday, a game that neither Maurizio Sarri, his players or Lazio's fans will want to dwell on. They've failed to find the net in just four of the 51 games they've played this season. In fact, this has been their most prolific goalscoring campaign since 1929/30. Lautaro, Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu, who's currently out of action with a thigh injury, are all well into double figures, and several teammates could well join them.
Lazio do, however, have players for big occasions. Pedro's late double famously crushed Inter's title hopes on the penultimate weekend of last season, while Edoardo Motta saved four of Atalanta’s five penalties to send Le Aquile into the final riding a sense of destiny.
