ExpressVPN just knocked NordVPN's Black Friday discount out of the park
It's the lowest price it's ever been and by a big margin, too!
If you'd said to someone twelve months ago that ExpressVPN would be dropping deals nearly 20% cheaper than NordVPN for Black Friday, you'd've been laughed out of court.
But no, it's really happened!
ExpressVPN has just dropped its Black Friday VPN deal for 2025 and it's dropped its price from $3.49 per month to only $2.44/month, making it the absolute cheapest ExpressVPN has ever been!
The deals are spread across all three of ExpressVPN's new tiered plans and both 12 and 24-month plans. Both plan lengths also get months added free. 12-month plans benefit from 15 months of coverage, while 24-month plans get 28 months of protection.
If you're after the best deal among these then it's got to be the Basic plan. At $2.44 per month for 28 months of coverage, you're paying less than $70 for more than two years coverage – which works out at around eight cents per day. By comparison, NordVPN's Basic plan offers 27 months of coverage for $2.99/month (just over $80) – ten dollars less, for one of the few VPNs ever to top our best VPN list.
ExpressVPN: $2.44/month (was $3.49) + 4 months extra
ExpressVPN has dropped its price to the lowest its ever been, which has made its Basic plan arguably the best out there – even surpassing NordVPN. With it, you get:
✅ 10 simultaneous connections
✅ Ad and malicious site blocking
✅ AES-256 encryption with 4096-bit RSA keys
ExpressVPN isn't the most feature-rich VPN, no matter the plan you choose. So, you're better off sticking with the basic plan as you still get a secure connection, useful ad blocking, and post-quantum encryption for less than almost any other VPN right now
ExpressVPN isn't very feature-laden, especially when compared to the likes of NordVPN and Surfshark. That's why choosing the Basic plan is probably your best option right now.
The only VPN of similar quality that's currently cheaper is Surfshark, but ExpressVPN has post-quantum encryption, 4096-bit RSA keys, and malicious website blocking included with its Basic plan, none of which are offered on the equivalent Surfhsark plan.
NordVPN is more expensive right now, yes, but it's a better all-around VPN. It performs flawlessly with streaming services, offers faster download speeds, and, if you're comparing the more premium plans, has far more features to offer.
So, if you're after a basic, secure VPN plan, definitely choose ExpressVPN. If you're after a seriously budget option that's very slightly less secure, choose Surfshark and if you want the best there is, for a little bit more money, choose NordVPN.
