Dell XPS 13 drops back to $699 in new holiday sale, making it a tempting MacBook Neo alternative
Your chance to skip the annoying price hike this week
Early seasonal sales and Black Friday events are cropping up daily now as we head into the final stretch of the year. We've seen discounts from most of the big names, and now, the official Dell Store has joined in with its own holiday sale.
The retailer will be posting new deals every week on everything from gaming laptops to monitors, and there are already decent options. My current favorite deal is definitely the Dell XPS for $699 (was $799).
This is an interesting discount because it's technically a reversal of a recent price hike on this brand-new model. The XPS 13 was launched at $699 with its entry-level Core 5 / 8GB of RAM configuration, but the brand quickly hiked that up to $799. It was a disappointing blow considering how good value this machine is, but it's understandable considering many brands are raising prices right now.
Today's discount does help offset that, however, and brings the XPS 13's price in line with the Apple MacBook Neo. It's a very tempting option indeed, considering the XPS 13 comes with a larger 512GB storage drive versus the Neo's rather tiny 256GB.

The latest Dell XPS 13 is surprisingly affordable, and doubly so thanks to a discount at the official Dell Store this week. The retailer has just reverted the $100 post-launch price hike that we've had for a few months now. Subsequently, this model starts at just $699 right now. Not only is it a stunningly premium laptop with a great display, but it's also surprisingly powerful, despite its minute 13-inch form factor.
One of the best value Dell laptops right now
We've just published our Dell XPS 13 (2026) review, if you're interested in checking out our full thoughts on this latest machine. In short, it's a really great little model if you're looking to cover the basics.
Unlike previous XPS 13 — and unlike the higher-end XPS 14 and 16 models — the 2026 version is a mid-range machine in terms of power. You still get a very premium chassis and display, but there's also a Core 5 chipset and 8GB of RAM on the entry-level configuration.
Suffice to say, it's not a powerhouse like its more expensive siblings, but it is almost half the price of some models, and it's still plenty for everyday tasks. Battery life is great, too, making this XPS 13 a great choice if you're constantly on the move with your laptop.
