Calling it now: the best Google Pixel Watch 5 deal is at T-Mobile — you can get $300 off without a trade-in today

We're starting to see the first meaningful discounts on the brand-new Google Pixel Watch 5 this week, but one deal remains the best in my opinion if you're looking for a cellular device specifically.

It's T-Mobile's excellent promotion, which gets you a $300 discount when you pair the device with a new line on the Watch Plan Plus 2.0. That's not only a sizeable price cut on a device that usually costs $499, but it's not tied to an annoying trade-in.

Even better still, if you're an existing customer with a line on the Experience Beyond phone plan, then you can get the Watch Plan Plus for really cheap. Existing customers can get the cellular line for just $5/mo instead of $15/mo for a standalone line. Considering the Pixel Watch 5 will be just $5.55/mo with this $300 discount, I'd say that's a very strong offer if you want one of the latest smartwatches.

Even with Black Friday right around the corner now, I'd still say keep this promotion in mind if you're interested in the Pixel Watch 5. Not only is it one of the absolute best discounts you'll find in terms of money saved, but it's a promo that's been around for over a month now. In short, I'm not expecting it to get much better since it's already one of the better deals on the market.

T-Mobile's excellent promotion on the brand new Google Pixel Watch 5 is a fantastic option if you're looking for a premium smartwatch without breaking the bank. Right now, the carrier is offering a healthy $300 discount when you pair up a cellular device with a new line on the Watch Plus plan. That's a discount that's big enough to get the Pixel Watch 5 for as little as $5.55/mo over the duration of 36 months.

The Google Pixel Watch 5 is very much an iterative upgrade versus the previous generation, but it's a fantastic smartwatch that has a lot going for it. We still scored it an impressive four stars out of five when we reviewed it, praising its lovely teardrop design and host of smart features.

For example, Google has massively improved the accuracy of the watch's fitness tracking GPS, Breathing Emergency Detection, and Insulin Resistance Trends, which could all be life-saving features in certain circumstances. While these features mostly operate in the background, they're part of a wider host of 'smarter' features for the Pixel Watch 5, which puts more emphasis on AI than previous iterations.

Aside from a revamped Google Gemini assistant, you'll also get music control and storage, GPS workouts, access to third-party apps, and on-wrist messaging — all the things you'd usually use a premium smartwatch for.
