The cheap unlimited data plan market is getting really competitive these days, and I've just spotted another extremely strong choice, thanks to a limited-time promotion over at Total Wireless.

Right now, the carrier is offering five whole years on its Total Max 5G unlimited data plan for just $20 per month. That's a $10 per month saving versus what you'd usually pay on this already-cheap plan.

As you'd expect, this one is exclusive to new customers, and you'll also have to bring your own device to the service. There are no extra freebies here, but the plan is so incredibly cheap that it's easily a fantastic standalone offer to those looking to cut their bills down to size.

The only caveat that I see with this deal is that you need to pay $30 upfront for your first month, and you'll need to use autopay subsequently to lock in the $20/mo rate. Still, this is an impressive deal considering the Max plan comes with unlimited mobile hotspot, roaming in 140+ countries, and access to the super-speedy Verizon 5G wideband network.

Total Wireless: get five years of Total Max 5G for $30 $20 per month
New customers at Total Wireless can switch over and get one of the best plan deals I've seen at the carrier this week. Bring your number and you can currently lock in a full five years of service on the carrier's Total Max unlimited plan for just $20/mo — after you pay $30 for your first month. That's a saving of $10/mo, making this easily one of the cheapest unlimited data plans ever.

Note: While you're here, you could also check out deals on the latest iPhones from Total Wireless if you're looking for a new device.

Currently, you can get the iPhone 17e included with a new line on the Total All Access plan if you stick with the plan for a duration of 24 months. There's also the option to get the brand-new iPhone 18 Pro on the same plan for just $25/mo, which is pretty impressive considering the Total All Access plan costs just $60/mo for a single line.

Interestingly, Total's website also says that you can get two iPhone 16e included with two lines on the Total All Access plan for $70/mo, but it looks like that one is an in-store exclusive. You'll have to track that one down in person.
