Best Buy's early Black Friday deals include 50% off Chromebooks from Acer, Asus, HP, and more — a relief from sky-high laptop prices
If you're looking for the basics, then don't hesitate to get a Chromebook
New laptops are getting pricier and pricier these days. Inflation is one thing, but the spiralling costs of components mean that RAM and storage come in at a serious premium. There is hope if you're just looking for a simple machine that can cover the basics — one of the latest Chromebooks.
These machines are designed to run on the lightweight Chrome OS, and even better still, Best Buy has a number of models included in its early Black Friday sale.
Today's Chromebook deals start at just $179 (was $379) for the Asus CX14, and include machines from HP, Acer, and other leading brands. Some of these listings are so cheap, they're actually under half price — something that is very unusual these days for laptop deals in general.
That Asus CX14 is going to be perfect for a lightweight machine to handle the basics, but the HP 14 2-in-1 Chromebook for $399 (was $549) and the Acer Chromebook Plus 516 for $499 (was $649) are better if you're looking for something a little more capable. These machines feature 8GB of RAM and more powerful chipsets, which makes them perfect for juggling multiple browser tabs or more intensive workloads.
You can read more about these deals, and others, just below. Note that Best Buy already has early Black Friday deals and a holiday price guarantee, but we're expecting plenty more listings from the retailer over the next few weeks, so stay tuned for more updates.
