On the track, two of the world's fastest male and female Paralympians, Petrucio Ferreira (BRA) and Omara Durand (Cub), will be going for gold in the T47 and T11 100m respectively. But the world's fastest blind man, David Brown (USA), will want a share of the limelight, as he aims to defend his T11 100m Paralympic title.
Looking to the field, German long jumper Markus Rehm will attempt to extend his own T64 long jump world record, whilst Greece is sending the only father and son duo to Tokyo 2020. Leontios Stefanidis will compete in the F20 shotput before his father, Lazaros, competes in the F33 shotput later in the week.
