The England vs Mexico weather is not looking good and the England kick off time has been delayed by 1 hour. That means it's now 2am BST / 7pm Mexico kick-off after a "shelter-in-place order has been issued at the Azteca Stadium" because of "severe weather".

England's World Cup is officially delayed for an hour (so far) as supporters, who were told to arrive two hours before kick-off, have been warned to remain in their seats at the Azteca ground.

It's been pouring with rain for the last 2-3 hours and a strong risk of yet more delays to kick-off because of thunderstorms and lightning around the Azteca Stadium today.

Officials activated a 'shelter indoors' warning on the jumbo TV screens in the stadium a couple of hours before the original 1am BST kick off time.

Earlier in the tournament, Mexico's Round of 32 match against Ecuador was delayed by an hour because of severe thunderstorms
