I've covered Black Friday sales for 9 years – these are the 30+ early deals I recommend right now
Laptops, phones, smart home tech, headphones, cameras and more already discounted
There's still time for official Black Friday deals to kick off, but someone didn't tell Aussie brands and retailers that. We started seeing teaser deals pop up in the first week of November, much earlier than in past years!
These offers will, in all probability, change – as in come with deeper discounts than what's on offer now – so you could hold off for a few more days. After all, the official Amazon Black Friday sale in Australia kicks off November 18, and I'm sure that's when the floodgates will open then for every other major retailer in the country as well.
How do I know this? Well, I've covered every major sale in Australia for the last nine years, so I've picked up on trends around these shopping events. I've also learnt a few key things about what deals are worth recommending. Then there's the rest of my team who, between them, have decades of tech expertise, so put your faith in us that we'll bring you discounts on products that are worth considering, even if the savings are small.
So, without much ado, take a look at my handpicked selection of the best early Black Friday deals currently available in Australia.

Laptops & PCs
- Apple: grab a Mac direct from the maker

- Landmark Computers: laptops, PCs, printers and more
- Mwave: laptops, pre-builds, peripherals and more
- PC Case Gear: save on a gaming rig
This larger 15-inch Slim 5 is hard to recommend at the AU$2,259 web price, but the discount here makes it an excellent deal. It uses a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS CPU plus a top-notch 32GB of RAM, so it's well suited to those who need a more powerful machine. It also has a very nice 16:10 (2560 x 1600) OLED display with a high 500-nit brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour reproduction. Just make sure you pay AU$11 extra when checking out for the upgraded 70Wh battery.
This versatile 2-in-1 features the latest Series 2 Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor backed up by 32GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD. The 16-inch (2880 x 1800) 120Hz OLED touchscreen display folds back through 360 degrees and works with the Lenovo pen for writing and drawing. You also get extras like an IR facial recognition webcam, dual Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports and a decently large 70Wh battery. That's a lot of laptop for the money!
This mighty gaming laptop was an unrealistic AU$4,198.70 back in June, but has had its first price drop to AU$3,499.10. Then use the coupon code FUTURE13% at checkout to bring the price down to AU$3,044.22. That's pretty good for an RTX 5070 machine with an Ultra 9 CPU, 32GB of RAM and a large 16-inch 2560 x 1600 240Hz display.
Smartphones & accessories
- Amazon: save on Apple, Samsung, Motorola and more
- Apple: trade-in an old iPhone for a new iPhone 17
- JB Hi-Fi: Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy and more discounted
- Vodafone: save on a new phone and plan by bundling
It might be the base model in Samsung's latest flagship range, but in our Samsung Galaxy S25 review, my colleague applauded it for its battery life and premium design. This AU$420 discount brings it into the realm of the best mid-range phones, and you won't find much that can compete at this price.
Considering this is an Apple product, I really can't say if this discount will get any better later this month. But if you’re on a budget and you absolutely have to have an iPhone, it’s hard to beat the iPhone 16e at this price. Sitting somewhere between the previous iPhone SE and its flagship iPhone 16 sibling, this 2025 release offers the Apple experience with a few less bells and whistles in exchange for a reduced price tag. Its smaller form factor (6.1-inch screen size) may also be appealing to fans of the iPhone minis of yore.
The Google Pixel 9a is still a respectable entry level-premium option with a great camera and long-term support. Our reviewer found its camera provides some of the best macro photography capabilities anywhere, and that it boasts the same Tensor G4 chip found in the more expensive Pixel 9 models. It’s worth noting that while there will likely be a Pixel 10a sometime in the first quarter of 2026, at just under AU$600, I reckon the Pixel 9a is good value.
I'm expecting this smartphone gimbal to drop in price as it was AU$80 off this time last year, but I think this is still a good price for the DJI OM 6. Its ergonomics and app are great, plus it'll be a thoughtful Christmas gift for someone who loves taking videos and photos on their phone.
Audio
- Amazon: shop headphones and Bluetooth speakers
- Apple: buy AirPods and Beats
- Bose: 20% off with code SAVE20 on select products
- Sennheiser: up to 50% off top-rated headphones and soundbars
- Sonos: save on smart speakers and soundbars
For a set of budget headphones (they cost AU$179 RRP), these are surprisingly good. In fact, they scored 4.5 stars in our CMF Headphone Pro review, with our tester saying they sound "zealous" and have a "bass-hungry sound quality". Trust me, that's superlative terms for saying these are good. At this price, they're hard to beat. Note: this offer is from Amazon UK and will likely change – the dark grey colourway is cheapest, but the light green (pictured) is just a few dollars more via the same listing.
The Beats Pill is a sturdy, classy portable speaker that you can use anywhere from the living room to the poolside, thanks to its IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating. It also has a substantial 24-hour battery life, so you can listen for a long time without worrying about recharging. Importantly, it's AU$20 cheaper than it's previous low price earlier this year and available in all colour options from JB Hi-Fi.
Vacuums
- Amazon: save on Shark, Dyson and more
- Dyson: save on exclusive Complete variants
- Ecovacs: Deebot discounts of up to 68% off coming Nov 18
- Roborock: up to AU$1,300 in savings on robot vacuums
- Shark: discounts on already affordable cordless vacuums
Dyson’s original wet-dry cordless vacuum has dropped to a record-low price – and it's not even Black Friday yet! Well, you have to jump through a couple of hoops to get that discount, but hey, you can't tell me it's not worth it. It will work as a standalone vacuum or as a standalone mop, meaning it will suit most households with mixed flooring. It does both remarkably well, but watch out for the dirty-water dripping out of the Submarine cleaning head after you've finished your chores. Use the price-beat option at The Good Guys and this could be yours for just AU$783.
It's the most powerful Dyson yet and this is the exclusive model that comes with every single attachment you can think of (6 in total) along with 2 cleaning heads – the Digital Motorbar and the Fluffy Optic. You'll also get the freestanding Dyson FreeDok to stow it all away. If there was a Dyson Black Friday deal worth your money, this one is it, and that's despite the Gen5detect Absolute going for AU$877 at The Good Guys – it's just better value as you get more.
This Roborock wet-dry vacuum will leave your hard floors sparkling clean thanks to powerful suction and effective cleaning. It can get up close to edges and the whole body can lay completely flat to help getting underneath tricky to reach places. This standout deal is equal to the lowest price we have seen.
Smart home
- Amazon: discounts on Philips Hue, Echo, Ring and more
- JB Hi-Fi: save on Google Nest, Skylight, Eufy, Swann and more
- Nanoleaf: up to AU$156 off smart lights and accessories
This little smart plug will turn any old lamp or small appliance into a smart one. Just plug in your kettle or a lamp and you can use the app or Google and Alexa voice commands to control said device. You can set timers, create schedules and more, depending on what you plug into this adaptor. It's already quite affordable at AU$22 a pop, but why not save a few dollars?
As of October, the RRP for this floor lamp was just AU$149, something that made me give it a high value score on my Nanoleaf Smart Multicolor Floor Lamp review. Now, though, the RRP is AU$169.99 – blame inflation, I suppose. Despite that, this is still one of the cheapest smart lamps you can get, one that does exactly what it promises on the tin. I'm still using it in my bedroom and, although it's not bright, it creates lovely wall-washing effects.
I'm a massive Philips Hue fan and have a few smart bulbs scattered around my home, but every time I purchase one, I usually baulk at the price tag. So when there's a discount like this, I wouldn't hesitate sharing it. There's a 2m length here to get you started, and it combines white and coloured light for some very pleasing effects. If you already have a Hue Bridge, this will work with your current setup, but you can use it independently as it's Bluetooth compatible too.
Cameras
- Amazon: typically the best prices on select cameras and lenses
- Camera House: save on cameras, lenses and accessories
- CameraPro: save on Canon, Sigma, Sony, Fujifilm, Nikon and more
- eBay: Plus members save extra
- Ted's Cameras: shop new, secondhand or trade-in to save more
There's no denying why a GoPro is so popular, and the Hero 13 Black has been one of the best action cameras on the market for a long time now. If you've been holding off to get one to capture your summer (mis)adventures in glorious 4K, this discount makes it a lot more approachable, and saves you some cash to spend on mods.
Back to the October Prime Day discount on Amazon, this entry-level camera is already affordable even at full price. It might be a no-frills entry-level model that has a fixed rear display, but its 24.1MP APS-C sensor is excellent and it can shoot 4K/24p video (cropped) too.
Officially, this film camera-inspired digital version is called the X-HF1, but it made headlines as the X Half. If you're a film photography buff but don't have the cash to spend on rolls (and the subsequent processing of the negatives), this is one offer not to be missed.
This silver edition of this lovely MFT camera was AU$50 cheaper on Amazon in October, but this is still a good price on the black kit. Even with the lens attached, this is a very portable package, making it the perfect travel companion. You get a 20MP stabilised sensor and a flip-down monitor to help with framing your shots..
Fitness tech
- Amazon: save on Apple Watches, Withings, smart rings and more
- Apple: trade-in to save on Apple Watch 11, Watch SE 3 and Ultra 3
- eBay: save on massagers, fitness trackers, smart scales and more
- JB Hi-Fi: Pixel watches, Galaxy Watches, smart rings & scales
- Kogan: shop wearables and massagers
The Fitbit Charge 6 is one of the simplest fitness trackers around, but it works very well. It has a small screen that shows the time, how many steps you’ve taken, and your current heart rate as well. It’s subtle, so it fits on your wrist well – whether you’re at work or working out. Extensive battery life of up to seven days means minimal hassle, too. While Aussie stock is discounted to AU$220 on Amazon, if you're willing to get a German import, it's a fantastic bargain.
Huh, if there's already a 41% discount on this fantastic Garmin watch, what can we expect when Amazon actually kicks off its Black Friday sale? Well, there's no guarantee it will be cheaper, or even if it will get a discount then – all depends on the stock. But this is still an excellent price for the Sapphire Edition but note this is for the Small (42mm) solar-charging variant, while the larger 51mm model is down to AU$999.
Personal grooming
- Dyson: save on premium multi-stylers, dryers and straighteners
- Myer: hair styling to dental care
- Shaver Shop: deep discounts on skin, oral and haircare tech
I've been using this sonic toothbrush for over a year now and I've often been scolded by it for not brushing quite right. Yes, scolded. This is a talking toothbrush that I didn't know I needed. While I prefer oscillating brushes, this one is unique. It uses bone-conduction tech to provide vocal feedback in real time so you brush exactly you ought to. It's cutting-edge stuff in oral hygiene and you'll get three replacement cleaning heads in the box too.
This Dyson Airwrap alternative – which looks very much like the Shark FlexStyle – is already 40% off on Amazon, and it's only just arrived in Australia! You will need to check the coupon button on the listing page to see the discount at checkout. It comes with a digital display and hotter heat settings than the Airwrap, as well as attachment recognition for the ideal settings for each.
I don't recalling such a good discount on the new edition of the Airwrap multi-styler, but note that only a few of the colourways get this AU$150 saving. According to TechRadar's Home Editor, this is the best hair styler tool, hands down, with the curl.i.d switch being the game changer here. It's still an investment and I don't think this price will drop any further through the sale period.
Office furniture
- Desky: AU$150 off dual standing desk with code DUAL150
- ErgoTune: AU$100 off all chairs
- Secretlab: save on top-rated gaming chairs
- Steelcase: 28% off sitewide with exclusive code FUTURE2025
I love this chair – I use it in the TechRadar Sydney office while I have the ErgoTune Vesby at home. It can feel quite narrow if you're bigger built, but otherwise I think it's the best office chair in Australia, complete with ergonomics and comfort.
It would have been nice to get a slightly better discount than this but, at this price, it's not bad for a chair with some decent ergonomic setup. It's fantastic for all-day comfort and support, but some of the material used does look cheap. Still, we have one in the TechRadar Sydney office and it is well liked.
It's not a huge discount but this is quite an affordable chair already and, what sets it apart from others on the market is that it tilts marginally in all angles. This allows the seat to move with you, encouraging micro movements that can add up over the day and promote better health and burn a few extra calories. It's ideal for thinner people but you won't get much in terms of back support.
One of the best office chairs that we've ever tested, the Series 2 is perfect for those who want a chair they don't have to worry about – offering supreme comfort while you stay focused on the task at hand. Earning 4.5 stars in our Steelcase Series 2 review, we loved how customisable its support was, as well as the breathability of its mesh. Plus, we thought it was pretty affordable at its original price. Use the exclusive checkout code FUTURE2025 to secure the full discount.
Currently our pick for the best mesh chair in Australia, the Karman is unique in that its frame is pretty much a single piece. It also doesn't have too many manual adjustment points because it's designed to adjust in real time with your body movements. The mesh is also very high quality, making it very breathable indeed. The only real drawback we could find in our Steelcase Karman review was its price. Down by nearly AU$600, this "one of a kind" chair is significantly easier to recommend with our exclusive FUTURE2025 discount.
