Huawei phones are quickly becoming some of the best around if you're looking for an alternative Android than phones from the big names of Samsung, Sony and LG. If you're looking for a cheaper phone from the Chinese company, 2016's Huawei P9 is the one to go for.
We gave the phone a four star review after it launched last year and praised it for its dual-camera sensor setup, refined metal design and impressive power under the hood. The newer and slightly more powerful Huawei P10 is out now, but the P9 is much, much cheaper as you can see from our best Huawei P10 deals.
If you do plan to buy the newer and more expensive Huawei P10, you may want to wait for some deals we expect to land on Black Friday 2017.
But if you're looking to buy your phone today, TechRadar will be able to help you with sourcing the best deals possible through our exclusive price comparison tool, which you can see just a bit further down the page.
SIM-free Huawei P9 prices
The Huawei P9 has dropped in price a lot since it launched back in 2016, so now you can buy it as a SIM-free phone for a lot less than its original price. Deals cost around £360, so it's much better value than the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the LG G5 that launched at the same time as this phone from Huawei.
Plus if you're buying your phone SIM-free, you should take a look at our best SIM only deals here too.
Huawei P9 review
Dual cameras worthy of a double take
Screen size: 5.2-inch | Resolution: 1920 x 1080 | Rear camera: 12MP + 12MP | Weight: 144g | OS: Android 6 | RAM: 3/4GB | Storage: 32/64GB | External storage: microSD up to 256GB | Battery: 3000mAh
Dual rear camera, a solid metal build and a Full HD display - the Huawei P9 is a great phone to upgrade to right now. If you're looking for a phone with a smaller screen than a lot of the Android competition right now, you may want to grab the Huawei P9 as soon as you can.
It isn't the most powerful phone on the market now - that's the Samsung Galaxy S8 when it comes to pure processing - but it does come with other great spec and costs a lot less.
