Who'd be Steve Ballmer? First it was Vista. Now it's eggs - TechRadar UK

Would you swap positions with Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer? OK, so you might like the cash. But not only would you be the subject of constant ridicule for jumping up and down on stage like a loon and releasing a half-finished OS. You’d have eggs thrown at you too.

While speaking about something boring at a Hungarian University yesterday, Ballmer had to cower behind the podium. Nope, not vicious bloggers or Linux heads this time – but a stout kid with ‘Microsoft = corruption’ biro’d on the back of his shirt. The Corvinus student let fly with a tirade accusing Microsoft of theft before releasing two eggs toward the stage.

His words are rather ambiguous, but he seems to be accusing Microsoft of stealing something or somebody. As he walked out of the lecture theatre, he begins muttering away to himself.

According to The Guardian: “Hungarian news reports suggested that the student was upset that the country's government has awarded a contract to Microsoft to provide software and IT training to local professionals under a program called Titan.” That clears that up then. Ballmer was simply asking the students about their forthcoming exams.

In the clip, nobody seems to aid Ballmer, which is also pretty funny. By the time the second egg is in the air, those around the offender were expressing distain. But the lack of any physical action toward him speaks volumes for an audience that was actually pretty amused by the whole sorry incident.
