Tech.co.uk now has a review of the Apple TV media streaming device that's supposed to give Apple a way into the digital home market. The review comes from my colleagues over at MacFormat and it's a sober reminder to Apple that this first version of its media streaming hardware won't be a big global hit.

It's not the technology that's in question. It's a lack of content.

"Your media,including movies and TV shows, has to come from your iTunes Library," says Russell James in his review. "This is a fairly transparent message from Apple that it wants people tobuy content from the iTunes Store in order to watch it via the AppleTV."

"Sounds fair, but the problem for users in the UK is that there are[still] no movies or TV shows on the UK's iTunes Store..."
