American Horror Story season 13 — which currently doesn't have a confirmed subtitle — is due to land on the small screen at some point in September 2026.

For OG fans of the franchise, this is the season we've been waiting for for years, with creator Ryan Murphy confirming that new episodes will be a direct sequel to the show's popular third season, Coven.

This means that core cast including Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates and Gabourey Sidibe are all reprising their roles from 2013, but it also means that Jessica Lange is rejoining AHS for the first time in season 8.

It's not publicly known if she'll reprise her Coven role as Fiona Goode, as rumors suggest she could be rejoining as her season 1 character Constance Langdon.

At this stage, the above is all we know for definite... until now. New season 13 star Berto Colón, who is joining the cast as Joe the Doorman, revealed that new episodes could be even scarier than anything we've seen before.

"I've already worked on four of the episodes.... they're still shooting in New York City," Colón tells me. "Season 13 will be 13 episodes, and it's public knowledge that all the stars are coming back. The story is a New York story that is going to be very freaky, very demonic... it's going to involve a lot of scary elements.

"It's a crazy world that Ryan Murphy has created and it's incredible that I join these ensembles and something evolves from them that becomes better than the original situation. I'm hired for one or two episodes and then I end up doing an entire season... so, fingers crossed, that'll be the same case here."

So if Colón isn't in the entire series, as far as we know, what do we actually know about his character so far?

"My role in AHS is very directly connected to Jessica Lange's character, and she's number one. It's gonna be fun. Based on the years of these and the seasons that I've watched, I think this is gonna be one of the more interesting ones as well."

Color me ridiculously excited. Given that we only have three months until the supposed release date, we should expect to hear more concrete updates sooner rather than later.
