Wonder Man is the latest superhero entry in Marvel Phase 6's lineup and will feature a meta-textual world where we get to see the protagonist, aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams, claw his way to a lead role in an in-universe superhero film, “Wonder Man.”

Interestingly enough, our Wonder Man has some hidden powers of his own, making him suitable for the role in more ways than the movie’s creators would like. How Simon navigates his rise to Hollywood fame, keeping his powers under wraps until he couldn’t, and his dynamic with Trevor Slattery – played by Ben Kingsley, a has-been actor in the show – forms the main plotline of the series.
Interestingly, the trailer keeps a lot of things close to its chest. For example, it doesn't reveal the villain Wonder Man will be fighting, the extent of his powers, and most importantly, his origin. As we've come to expect from other Marvel superhero shows like Moon Knight, the origin story of the superhero's powers forms one of the main plotlines, especially in season one. So it'll be interesting to see how much of that we get to witness in Wonder Man.
