This fun event takes place just before the main Super Bowl and will be officiated by Referee Dan Schachner, who’s returning for his 15th year. Puppy Bowl XXII will also introduce a Pro-Dog Halftime Showdown for senior pups, with Team Oldies and Team Goldies going head-to-head in an exhibition match.
This year features 15 specially-abled dogs – the most in Puppy Bowl history. Among them are Knick Knack from Green Dogs Unleashed, who has both hearing and vision impairment, and Cricket from Harley’s Haven in Pennsylvania, born with a heart condition.
Before kick-off, viewers can tune into the Puppy Bowl XXII pre-show, which includes fun challenges featuring 10 adorable puppies, with the winner earning a spot on one of the teams.
Our furry athletes will also compete for MVP (Most Valuable Pup), where fans can vote for their favorites during the event. Beyond the entertainment, Puppy Bowl continues to highlight inspiring stories and promote adoption, as most pups find a home shortly after the show.
