The Seahawks and Patriots face off at Levi's Stadium on Sunday in a Super Bowl matchup almost as rare as a unicorn riding a rainbow – this the first time since the 1970 merger that the Vince Lombardi Trophy is being contested by a pair of top four-ranked scoring offenses and top four-ranked scoring defenses. These teams haven't got here by fluke.

But both defenses are so good that quarterback play may well end up taking a backseat in Santa Clara.

Maye, who's had a brief illness, has been sacked five times in each of his three playoff games, over which the Pat have averaged a measly 18 points, the lowest of any Super Bowl contender since the 1979 Rams. The Hawks have conceded the fewest points in the NFL thanks largely to the combined efforts of Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy II and Uchenna Nwosu, who have racked up seven sacks apiece.

After coughing up a league-worst 20 turnovers during the regular season, Darnold has completely shut up shop in the playoffs, and he'll be looking to connect as often as possible with Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the top WR in the NFL. But Seattle's offense is multi-facted. RB Kenneth Walker III has 256 yards from scrimmage and four scores in two playoff games, while Rashid Shaheed has two kick return touchdowns and a punt return touchdown.

However, New England's defense has been historically miserly this postseason. They've allowed 8.7 points per game so far, the best defensive numbers since the 2000 Ravens, and Milton Williams is a big-game playerr who produced two sacks during the Eagles' Super Bowl win 12 months ago. The Seahawks have a talisman of their own in Cooper Kupp, who put the Rams on his back four years ago.
