Black Friday laptop sales 2025 in Australia: dates and all the info leading up to the big event
Black Friday is still months away, but we are already prepping for discounts on machines from Lenovo, Apple, Dell, HP and more

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are still months out, but we have left the deals below to give you an idea of what was on sale in 2024, and what you can expect in 2025. Until then, check out our best laptop deals page instead, which is updated weekly with all the latest discounts.
Laptops can be a popular purchase during Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales and the sheer amount of choice can be a little overwhelming. But don't worry, we are here to help.
So when do we expect Black Friday in 2025? It's likely going to start on Friday, November 28, and the deals will run until Monday, December 1 – the last day being Cyber Monday. Last year, we saw most early deals dropping a week ahead of the official start date, and as expected, discounts remained even after Cyber Monday was done. Of course some brands got in extra early, and HP and Lenovo both already had sales happening from early November.
If you’re not sure what model of laptop might suit best, we recommend reading our guide to the best laptops in Australia, which will give you an overview of the cream of the crop. If you want a gaming machine, we have our best gaming laptops guide.
The team here at TechRadar is ready to hunt down the best laptop deals and will including them below. But if you don't see anything that appeals, or if you are after more options, then (like last year), you can take a peek at our Macbook deals or maybe the full scope of Lenovo deals.

The hottest laptop deals we had in 2024
Here are some examples of the deals we had last year, to give you a taste of what might be coming in 2025.
Save AU$802
We think AU$1,997 is a cracker of a deal for this just-launched laptop. The Slim 7i Aura features the new Series 2 Intel Core Ultra 7 258V CPU, a big 15.3-inch 2800 x 1800 touchscreen display and premium features like a facial recognition webcam and Wi-Fi 7. Amazon (as usual) has a few of the specs wrong, so note it has an (excellent) IPS display, rather than OLED. You can also grab the Aura direct from Lenovo for AU$2 more.
Save AU$239.60
The Victus 15 was already discounted down to AU$1,198, and now you can drop further with the code HP20SAVE. It's currently much cheaper than the EOFY sales, and a great deal for a Core i5, RTX 4050 machine, as it's more than capable of decent frame rates on the 15-inch, 1080p, 144Hz screen. If you need a more powerful CPU, the i7 model is AU$1,199.
Save AU$574.40
This powerful gaming machine has been discounted down to AU$2872, and for a limited time you can save an extra 20% off using code HP20SAVE. That's a pretty good deal for a gaming laptop with an RTX 4070 GPU, i7-13700HX CPU, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and a big 17.3-inch, 2560 x 1440, 240 Hz, 3 ms display. Love the spec but want something smaller? The RTX 4070 Omen 16 is AU$2295.20.
Everyday laptops
Save AU$900
This big screen laptop has a powerful Ryzen 7 8845HS CPU, loads of RAM, and a high resolution (2560 x 1600) IPS display with a high 350 nit brightness and 100% sRGB colour reproduction. Our friends over at Tom's Hardware loved the Intel version in their Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i review and we think the AMD model here is even better. Especially since AU$1,299 is the lowest price we have seen, and a bargain.
Save AU$900
Looking for a premium laptop at an affordable price? The 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED equipped Pavilion Plus 14-inch is 41% off RRP. The laptop offers a decently powerful Intel i7-1355U CPU and 16GB of RAM, plus the latest features such as Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6 and up to 13 hours of battery life.
Save AU$520
This compact machine has a decently powerful AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS CPU paired with 16GB of RAM, and can happily take on any everyday tasks. It's also got premium extras such as a 16:10 (1920 x 1200) 13.3-inch touchscreen display with a high 400 nit brightness and 100% sRGB colour reproduction, and a facial recognition webcam. Not bad for 35% off.
2-in-1 laptops
Save AU$350
This basic Chromebook (model 14b-cd0001TU) is currently on sale at HP, with 44% off. It's a step up from the more basic models and has 8GB of RAM plus a touchscreen that can be folded back and used like a tablet. HP also rates it for up to 10 hours of battery life, making it a great option for day-to-day use.
Save AU$1,800
While a dual screen laptop isn't for everyone, the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is one of the best options available. Read our Lenovo Yoga Book 9i review for the full rundown, but we gave it 4.5 stars, and loved the two 13.3-inch, 3K OLED screens and and premium design. While the AU$4,699 RRP is eye watering, the 38% discount brings it down to one of the best prices we have seen.
Save AU$1,200
Score a great 43% off this versatile 2-in-1 HP Envy x360 from HP. It features an Intel Ultra 7 CPU along with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Plus of course a 1200p 16-inch touchscreen that conveniently folds through 360 degrees.
MacBook deals
Save AU$222
This is not far off the cheapest price we've seen for the 16GB M2 MacBook Air, and it's a great option for those who need a capable yet affordable machine. This deal is 17% off vs buying from Apple, but keep in mind the newer M3 Air is also on sale for AU$1549, so you currently save 14% by opting for the older M2 version. Want to know if that's the right move? Check out our Apple MacBook Air (M2, 2022) review or jump to our MacBook deals below.
Apple MacBook Air 13.6-inch (M3, 2024): from AU$1,549 (save up to AU$250) at JB Hi-Fi
The 13.6-inch M3 MacBook air is one of our favourite laptops, and is an even better deal now Apple has made 16GB of RAM the base configuration. JB Hi-Fi's is current taking up to AU$250 off both the 16GB and 24GB RAM models, which is a pretty decent saving compared to buying from Apple.
• 16GB RAM/256GB SSD: AU$1,799 AU$1,549
• 16GB RAM/512GB SSD: AU$2,097 AU$1,849
• 24GB RAM/512GB SSD: AU$2,399 AU$2,149
Apple MacBook Air 15.3-inch (M3, 2024): from AU$1,949 (save up to AU$250) at JB Hi-Fi
Prefer a bigger screen? JB Hi-Fi currently has decent discounts (for Apple products anyway) on the 15.3-inch M3 MacBook Air. Even better, the 8GB variant is no longer sold, and the flat AU$250 off the RRP (or up to 11% off) discount is for the 16GB and 24GB RAM models
• 16GB RAM/256GB SSD: AU$2,099 AU$1,949
• 16GB RAM/512GB SSD: AU$2,499 AU$2,249
• 24GB RAM/512GB SSD: AU$2,799 AU$2,549
Gaming laptops
Save AU$940
This affordable gaming laptop is currently 39% off the admittedly overly high list price, but it's a reasonable mid-range buy at this discount. Working alongside the RTX 4050 GPU, the LOQ has a Ryzen 5 CPU and 16GB of RAM. It's not exactly the most powerful machine, but is good enough for very playable frame rates on the 1080p, 144Hz display.
Save AU$1,500
This is the Pro model of one of the best Lenovo gaming laptops available (check out our Lenovo Legion 5i review), and this deal knocks 39% off the price of the RTX 4060 variant. Sure, the AU$3,799 RRP is overblown, but AU$2,289 is a great price for a premium gaming machine like the Pro 5i.
Or consider the Intel i9 / RTX 4070 / 32GB RAM variant for AU$2,699.
Save AU$100.80
Dell don't give a before price, but as a comparison this G15 variant was AU$1599 during the 2023 Black Friday sales and the Intel i7 RTX 4060 variant is AU$1,798.50. And you know what? Scoring a 15.6-inch laptop with a RTX 4060 GPU and a 1920 x 1080, 165Hz G-Sync screen with 100% sRGB colour for under AU$1,500 is a great deal.
