The Griffin Navigate connects to your iPod or iPhone's dock port and gives you a handy remote control and FM radio.
It only works with USB-charged devices, so if your iPod came with a FireWire dock cable, steer clear.
The controller clips to your clothing and you can change tracks, adjust volume and switch to the mediocre FM tuner. It also displays the playing track's name and artist.
Unfortunately, the clip isn't versatile; if you attach it to a man's shirt the display is upside down.

1. Avoid.
Avoid-avoid-avoid.
I don't know why the reviewers don't mention the most obvious flaw about this device.
It EATS your iPod battery. Even when your iPod is asleep, doing nothing, it's quietly chomping away.
Several times, I've made the mistake of using my Navigate during the day, and leaving it plugged into my iPod Touch at night.
And the result, the next day, I wake up to find that I have an iPod with a dead battery to entertain me during my commute.
I have confirmed with Griffin's support that this is normal behavior, there is no power switch to really make the Navigator "sleep", and without this, I would not recommend this accessory to anyone.
Unless you like having a quiet commute, of course.
