What's new with the iPhone 17e?

Apple iPhone 17e Review

  • Same A19 chipset as the iPhone 17
  • Magsafe support
  • Upgraded wireless charging
  • Now starts with 256GB of storage

The brand new iPhone 17e starts at $599 / £599, which is the same price as the previous model. That makes sense when you consider it's a relatively iterative generation, but there are actually quite a few upgrades under the hood that make it a better value device.

The biggest upgrade? The new A19 chipset, which is the same processor that the standard iPhone 17 uses. As you'd imagine, that gives you a respectable amount of power on tap here - more than any other mid-range phone right now.

Perhaps the other single biggest upgrade for the iPhone 17e is that the device has been bumped up from 128GB storage to 256GB on the baseline model - quite impressive considering the price is the same. Other quality of life improvements include improved wireless charging speeds, MagSafe support, and up-to-date camera modes.
