There’s an interesting piece over on MacFormat’s blog about the iPhone producing a second halo effect for Apple. My colleague Chris Phin points out that the iPhone’s future Microsoft Exchange compatibility could have a knock-on effect on people’s perceptions of Apple, and that these probably won’t be the same people who reacted so well to the iPod.
Chris argues that even stalwart members of the IT helpdesk might get sucked in, in addition to decision-making execs. It's interesting stuff. Personally I’m not so sure the iPhone will have that kind of effect. MacBooks might look nice in corporate presentations but for frugal companies they’re not even on the same page as a £499 laptop from Toshiba or Lenovo.
