So the eyes of the whole world* are focused firmly on the PDC and Windows 7, the OS that will either change the whole darn galaxy* or be received with a widespread meh.

But meh isn't a real word to us on TechRadar (in fact it just isn't a real word), so with this Wednesday's day of scintillating tech news we have done our utmost to bring you a whole universe* of awesome and less meh than you would find in a truckful of whooping Apple enthusiasts at a Steve Jobs keynote.

We opened out our meh-free world with some fabulous news involving lasers – but these babies aren't on the head of sharks. Oh no – this was the news that Mitsubishi has released its 65-inch laser television.

OLEDs are exciting aren't they? In fact if we were any more excited about OLED we'd be camped outside Sony's HQ in Japan demanding they give us one of their little TVs. But while we were there we would have missed out on the news that Samsung has produced a 0.05mm 'flapping' OLED screen.

Asus' original Eee PC revolutionised the laptop market by introducing us to netbooks – so when they suggest they may be getting back into smartphones we sit up and take note. Will we see an Eee branded phone soon? Well they've branded everything else they produce with the three Es so we don't see why not.

And if you happen to be a laydee and a 'fashionista' then HP may just have the product for you. They've dressed their Mini PC 1000 up in Vivienne Tam 'Chinese Chic' which is apparently flowers and redness.

When we hear that Sony's profits are dropping faster than a particularly heavy space tourist on re-entry we start to panic. So we asked a money expert to reassure us that things would be okay and instead he made things worse by telling us prices could rise in the UK. Booo!

Aiptek wondered if we had a cinema in our pocket – but no it was actually just a projector.. and our manhood. But mostly the sub-£300 projector.

With the T-Mobile G1 Android out on Thursday we were fascinated to find that Moto had dumped Symbian for the Google-fuelled OS, that RIM wouldn't be following the Android model and that more people were searching for BlackBerry Storm than the G1.

We don't want to look sex obsessed, but after yesterday's Jeeves expose, we followed up with both a survey suggesting that those seeking out sexual thrills online were likely to be depressed and a rebuttal from our sexpert Cate Sevilla.
