Surfshark's Black Friday deals just arrived – and they're already my favorite
This shark has taken a chunk out of its prices just in time for Black Friday, and I love it!
Shark by name, shark by nature, the best cheap VPN has come to take a bite out of its prices just in time for Black Friday.
Surfshark's Black Friday deals have arrived, and they're already looking hard to beat. Its two-year plans are now all at the lowest prices we've seen this year, plus they all come with three months extra thrown in.
We've already seen NordVPN, Surfshark's Nord Security counterpart, launch its Black Friday deals, but, as the budget choice of the two, Surfshark's deals start much cheaper, without skimping out on the features either!
Surfshark: from $1.99/month with three months extra
Want one of the fastest VPNs for less? Look no further. With Surfshark's Black Friday sale, you can access:
- Unique features such as Surfshark Search and Alternative ID ✅
- Full antivirus capabilities ✅
- Three months additional coverage included ✅
It's one of the best streaming VPN's available, offers super simple apps for any platform, and works flawlessly in internet-restricted regions too. Still unsure? Try it risk-free with its 30-day money-back guarantee or 7-day free trial.
What Surfshark plan should you choose?
The Surfshark plan we most often recommend is the One plan. At only $2.19/month, it's currently as much as you'd've paid earlier in the year for Surfshark Starter, but you get the best of Surfshark's added features thrown in alongside. This includes three key features, Surfshark Alert, Alternative ID, and Antivirus.
Alert is there to do exactly what you'd expect, make sure you're the first to know if any of your personal information is a victim of a data breach. Alert can track your email accounts, credit cards, or personal ID, and you're notified of any new breaches in the app. It's simple, it's quick, and it's super effective.
Antivirus is just that, a full antivirus system at the tip of your fingers. Unlike NordVPN's Threat Protection Pro, Surfshark Antivirus is available across both mobile and desktop devices, and offers true antivirus capabilities – including regular scanning of files on your device, as well as real-time scanning of new downloads as they happen.
Included in all Surfshark plans is also CleanWeb, which acts to block ads, trackers, and malware from your device while your VPN is connected.
Surfshark's pièce de résistance, however, is Alternative ID. Built into the Surfshark app directly, Alternative ID gives you the ability to make countless alias personas, email addresses, and, in the US, phone numbers.
These alias' can be used to sign up to any account you need, with all correspondence going to a linked email address of your choosing that the site you want doesn't know about. This means if the site is ever subject to a data breach, you can continue using the platform in the knowledge your data is safe, or create a new persona entirely in a matter of clicks.
Alternative ID and CleanWeb are included in every Surfshark plan, but Antivirus and Alert are two superb additions for only nineteen cents more than a Starter plan. If you're unsure which Surfshark plan you're after, we've compared them all below.
Remember, Surfshark charges you for its plans upfront, and adds tax on top of the advertised price, so don't be shocked if instead of paying $2 a month, you're paying $50 to $100 straight away.
