SAVE $1,350:
Canon's best ever camera for photography has received its biggest-ever price slash. The full-frame <a href="https://www.techradar.com/reviews/canon-eos-r5" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="bhphotovideo.com"">EOS R5 boasts 45MP still pictures, superb autofocus, one of the best in-body image stabilization performances and it's an all-round pleasure to shoot with. It's also a brilliant for video too, being one of the first hybrid cameras to unleash 8K video, and you can shoot 4K video with frame rates up 120p. It was this price on Black Friday, but for Cyber Monday B&H Photo has added a 2TB SanDisk portable SSD worth $350 in, too. This is probably the deal of the day.

Save $400:
Nikon's budget-friendly full-frame shooter just got a whole lot cheaper with this sizeable $400 price cut at Adorama. We rate the Z5 as one of the <a href="https://www.techradar.com/news/best-entry-level-mirrorless-camera" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="adorama.com"">best entry-level mirrorless cameras thanks to its 24MP sensor, 3.2-inch tult touchscreen and moderate 4.5frps burst shooting. It shoots 4K video albeit with a heavy crop, but the Z5 is an excellent option for a photography-focused individual.

Sony A7 III with FE 28-70mm lens and flash: $2,198 $1,698 at Adorama

Save: $500:
The third-gen A7-series model boasts a full-frame 24MP sensor with 15-stops dynamic range, 10fps burst shooting and Sony's 693-point AF. It also shoots 4K video and is the true all-rounder in Sony's line up, succeeded by the A7 IV that we rank as the best mirrorless camera for most people. This excellent deal includes Sony's kit lens and an external flash. The body only deal is less than $1500.

Fujifilm GFX50S II (body only):$3,999 $3,199 at Adorama

Fujifilm GFX50S II (body only): <a href="https://shop-links.co/link?publisher_slug=future&exclusive=1&u1=hawk-custom-tracking&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.adorama.com%2Fifjgfx50sm2.html&article_name=hawk-article-name&article_url=hawk-article-url" data-link-merchant="adorama.com"">was $3,999 now $3,199 at Adorama
After the recent launch of the 5 star rated GFX100 II, Fujifilm has slashed the price of two of its former medium-format cameras – the GFX50S II and GFX100S – on most leading retailers, including Adorama. The GFX50S II, which delivers incredible 50MP photos, might just have the lowest price ever for a camera in this sensor format particularly popular with studio and landscape photographers, that's much larger than full-frame. Could now be the time to finally discover what medium format is all about? There's also stellar deals on the GFX50S II with the GF 35-70mm kit – again an $800 saving.

Fujifilm X-S10 (body only): $999$899 at B&H Photo

Fujifilm X-S10 (body only): <a href="https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1597411-REG/fujifilm_x_s10_mirrorless_digital_camera.html?BI=20811&KBID=16572&SID=hawk-custom-tracking" data-link-merchant="bhphotovideo.com"">was $999 now $899 at B&H Photo
The X-S10 remains on sale despite the arrival of the pricier X-S20. We expect the two cameras to coexist, because the latter – which has superior video features and battery life but a fairly similar spec for photographers – is quite a price jump, especially now we're starting to see deals like this on the X-S10. We still rate the X-S10 as one of the best cameras for photography beginners, with its 26MP APS-C back-illuminated sensor, in-body image stabilization and of course Fujifilm's infamous Film Simulation color profiles. You also get a great range of lenses to choose from, including the XF18-55mm which you can buy with the camera as a kit for an additional $400.

Nikon Z7 II (body only): $2,999.99 $2,299.99 at Best Buy
$700 off:

Nikon Z7 II (body only): <a href="https://shop-links.co/link?skuId=6437924&publisher_slug=future&exclusive=1&u1=hawk-custom-tracking&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bestbuy.com%2Fsite%2Fnikon-z-7-ii-4k-video-mirrorless-camera-body-only-black%2F6437924.p%3FskuId%3D6437924&article_name=hawk-article-name&article_url=hawk-article-url" data-link-merchant="bestbuy.com"">was $2,999.99 now $2,299.99 at Best Buy
$700 off:
I don't regret buying the Nikon Z6 II a couple of years ago, but there are times that I'm a little green-eyed of the pricier and higher 45.7MP resolution of the Z7 II, especially for landscape photography. If at the time there was a deal on the Z7 II like above from Best Buy, I might have opted for it instead. Sure, the Z7 II doesn't have the latest stacked sensor for a speedier performance of the Nikon Z8 and Z9, but it has the same number of pixels, a smaller body, and it costs less. If you don't shoot a lot of action, the Z7 II could still be your best Nikon mirrorless camera choice today.

$200 off: It's not a huge price cut but this is the first discount we've seen on the latest Canon EOS R6 Mark II flagship. If you're looking for a blazingly quick full-frame camera with incredible autofocus and rapid rates, look no further. With a 24MP sensor, the R6 is capable of fantastic image quality, up to 40FPS with the electronic shutter, and full width 4K60 video with 10-bit color. It's an extremely impressive all-round mid-range model that ticks all the boxes for a modern hybrid.

As well as offering plenty of space for stills, it has a high 200MB/s read speed and 90MB/s write speed, while the fact that it's UHS-3 and V30 certified means it will easily handle 4K video. This Extreme Portable SSD V2 boasts 1,050MB/s read and 1,000MB/s write speeds and a USB-C 3.2 connection. Now with this ridiculously good price on a top-performing SSD, you get the best bang for your buck, too. Save £640:
Nikon's budget-friendly full-frame shooter just got a whole lot cheaper with this sizeable £640 price cut at Amazon. We rate the Z5 as one of the <a href="https://www.techradar.com/news/best-entry-level-mirrorless-camera" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">best entry-level mirrorless cameras thanks to its 24MP sensor, 3.2-inch tult touchscreen and moderate 4.5frps burst shooting. It shoots 4K video albeit with a heavy crop, but the Z5 is an excellent option for a photography-focused individual. If you need a lens alongside the camera, then the bundle with the 24-50mm lens is my pick of the options, for just £1,215.

The GFX50S II, which delivers incredible 50MP photos, might just have the lowest price ever for a camera in this sensor format that's much larger than full-frame. Could now be the time to finally discover what medium format is all about?

It's now at its lowest price ever for UK shoppers from Jessops who is also selling the first-gen model with the RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM lens for only £1,729 – again a saving of £1000.

Canon EOS R100 with RF-S 15-45mm lens: £669now £499 at Amazon

Canon EOS R100 with RF-S 15-45mm lens: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB0C65KGFTM%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">was £669 now £499 at Amazon
Canon's entry-level EOS R100 with kit lens is under £500, which makes it the cheapest way to get into the Canon RF-mount ecosystem. This APS-C format DSLR-style camera is the smallest and lightest in Canon's line up, and packs the same 24MP sensor as many of its pricier siblings, but it's fixed rear screen is not touch sensitive which will take some adjusting if you're stepping up from a smartphone. This camera and lens bundle was £456 earlier this week, so if your heart is set on this camera, it could be worth waiting for a potential price drop.

Canon EOS R100 + RF-S 18-45 & 55-210 lenses:£699 at Currys

Start your photography journey with this excellent two-lens deal from Currys. We've added the best R100 with 18-45mm kit above, and adding the 55-210mm lens in this kit deal is a markup of around £230 which is below the lens only cost of at least £360. So while this deal is pricier than the one above, it's great value if you would like both lenses and the best price we've seen for this trio.

Sony A7C with 28-60mm lens: £2,149 £1,524 at Amazon

This excellent little full-frame camera has now been superseded by the A7C II, which means prices on the original should come down. This compact kit lens combo makes the A7C a brilliant travel camera, with the lens neatly retracting to make it a smaller companion than its rivals. Despite this size, you can expect excellent image quality and a huge range of lenses to choose from. The kit previously dropped to a record low price of £1,499 earlier this week, but this is still a good deal, applying the £125 coupon at checkout from the £1,649 list price.

Black Friday camera deals 2023: FAQs

When were the best Black Friday camera deals?

Amazon US and Amazon UK continue to prove a great source for cameras on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and beyond, consistently holding a wide range of mirrorless camera stock from the likes of Canon, Panasonic, Sony and Nikon, plus GoPro action cameras, DJI drones and the best dash cams. That's why the Black Friday drone deals and Black Friday GoPro deals tend to be very popular during the sales event. If you have Amazon Prime you can often get next-day delivery.

In the US, the likes of Adorama, Best Buy, B&H Photo and Walmart can also undercut Amazon's prices, particularly if you're looking for a bundle with lots of accessories. For UK shoppers, the best Amazon alternatives are usually Park Cameras, Wex Photo Video and Jessops.

Alternatively, you can check out our guide to the best cameras for photography for our recommendations and all of the latest prices.

Was Black Friday really the best time to buy a camera?

As a general rule, Black Friday is a great time to buy a new camera, but in some cases retailers mark up the prices of cameras in the run-up in order to offer a seemingly bigger discount during the actual sales event. This doesn't necessarily make them a bad buy – on many occasions, their prices still drop to record lows. But in the grand scheme, the percentage saving may not be quite as large as advertised.

In these situations, we only highlight the actual saving of any Black Friday deal based on the camera's recent price history, and we will make sure it's a genuinely good buy by looking further back. This isn't necessarily the norm, though, and many cameras do simply drop to their lowest-ever price for a brief period over Black Friday, particularly in Amazon's Lightning deals. These are often among the best camera deals of the year.

The good news is that if you missed the sales event, the majority of the bargains remain to be had in the following days.
