First of all, head to the Hulu website via your web browser or the Hulu app on your preferred device. You'll be taken to their homepage, which looks like the above, giving you the option to sign up for the Disney Bundle Trio Basic or the Disney, Hulu, Max Bundle. If you don't want any of these subscription bundles, press "Sign up for Hulu Only" located underneath.

Choose your Hulu plan

Next, Hulu will ask you to choose between three plans. A free trial is not available for the Hulu (No Ads) plan, so you can choose between Hulu (With Ads) to get a 30-day free trial or 'Hulu + Live TV' for a 3-day free trial.

Log in or sign up to Hulu with your email address

Once you've selected your plan, the next menu prompts you to either continue with the log in or create a Hulu account with your email address. If you are making a new account, you will set up a password and provide your personal information.

The email address and password you use when signing up for Hulu will also be your MyDisney login. MyDisney allows you to use one email address and password to log in to services across The Walt Disney Family of Companies.

Enter your billing information

Hulu will then ask you to provide your billing information to set up your account, where you will need a valid credit card to start your Hulu free trial. After you've done this, you can enjoy up to 30 days of Hulu for free.

You won't be charged until after the trial period ends, but if you don't want to continue with the service and get charged, simply cancel your subscription before your trial expires.

How long does a Hulu free trial last for?

A Hulu free trial let's you enjoy a whole 30-days without paying a thing. There was a time once when you could also enjoy a 7-day free trial of its Hulu with Live TV plan, but this option disappeared when the Disney+ bundle was added to plans at no extra cost. The good news is you can now trial the Live TV plan again, though only a 3-day trial is available.

Thereafter, the ad-supported plan costs $82.99 a month (or $95.99 a month to forego ads). Disney+ and ESPN+ are included at no extra price when subscribing to the Live TV package, as well as other premium features like the ability to download content to watch later on Hulu and Disney+.

If you don't want live TV but do want Hulu bundled in with the other two streaming services, then one of the best streaming deals around is the Hulu with Disney+ (and ESPN+ if you feel so inclined) bundle from just $10.99 a month. Of course, you will miss out on the Hulu free trial when opting for this plan, though.

Disney+ and Hulu annual ad-supported plan: $19.98$10.99 at Hulu and Disney+

Disney+ and Hulu annual ad-supported plan: was $19.98 per month now $10.99 at Hulu and Disney+
To subscribe to Disney+ and Hulu's ad-supported plans separately would normally cost just under $20 dollars a month for a bundle, but you can get them both for $10.99 a month, representing a saving of 40% on separate annual plans. Sadly, you'll have to watch commercials on both streaming services, but with a saving of over $100 on offer compared to if you bought both services separately, we suspect you'll think it's a price worth paying. This is the usual bundle saving to be clear.

What is the cheapest way to get Hulu after the free trial?

There are two main Hulu plan options if you're looking to get a subscription after your free trial ends. You can either get Hulu's most popular 'With Ads' plan for $9.99 a month or its more expensive 'No Ads' plan for $18.99 a month – if those prices seem different to you, it's because there was a price hike on October 17, 2024.

However, if you're after greater value for money, the aforementioned Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ package gets you access to three streaming platforms, all with extensive libraries, for a really great price of $16.99 a month.

If you're looking for more Hulu bargains, check out our pick of the best streaming deals. However, if you can wait till November, then it is often the best time of year to get a discounted Hulu subscription – make sure to check our Black Friday Hulu deals guide closer to the time.

Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu bundle: $31.97$16.99 at Disney

Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu bundle: was $31.97 now $16.99 at Disney
There's a growing number of Disney+ bundles now available that offer more choice depending on what you do and don't want out of your streaming subscription. While some ESPN content has been added to Disney+, the best way to unlock access to the sports network is through a subscription. In this bundle, you can get Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ for $16.99 – separately these subscriptions would cost $31.96 a month otherwise. There are also options to pay more to forgo commercials.
