If you make a lot of soups and smoothies and your blender just isn’t cutting it anymore (get it?!), the Braun PowerBlend 9 just might be the upgrade you’re looking for – and it’s also 43% off right now!

We named the Braun PowerBlend 9 as our top recommended blender for most people thanks to its powerful motor, ability to make a wide range of food with 18 presets, and a design that makes it easier to clean compared to most blenders.

The PowerBlend 9 has a roomy 2L jug, so if you only cook for yourself this might be overkill – but if you’re often feeding a crowd, this unit can batch-make smoothies, soups, spreads, frozen desserts and more – and not only very quickly, but also very consistently.

This premium blender can make quick work of most ingredients to give you soups and smoothies to your desired consistency thanks to its 1600W motor. Its 2L jug will easily accommodate a crowd, but admittedly may be overkill if you’re just cooking for yourself. It also does generally demand a premium price, but this discount makes it a no-brainer for the discerning home cook looking for an upgrade.

Despite its large capacity, our Braun PowerBlend 9 review found the blender was surprisingly compact at 43cm tall, 20cm wide and 20cm deep, making it great for those with smaller kitchens. It also weighs in at just 4.6kg, making it light enough to be put away in a cupboard after each use.

The base has a touchscreen display that contains buttons for presets – such as Smoothie, Soup, Chop, Ice Crush, Frozen Dessert and Spread – and a rotating dial that sets the consistency to either coarse, medium or smooth. That gives you a total of 18 present options, plus 10 manual speeds, a pulse feature and a dedicated cleaning mode.

Speaking of cleaning, the jug is triangular in shape to ensure less food gets stuck to the sides, and is also dishwasher safe. The built-in cleaning mode is convenient but also essential, as the included blades aren’t removable.
