Save 75% on Hallmark+ via Prime Video this Black Friday – start with this unhinged TV show I loved, and you will too
When it comes to movies and TV shows that will make you laugh and cry in equal measure, Hallmark+ is the streaming service that does it best.
So the fact you can save three-quarters of the price on a typical Hallmark+ subscription via Prime Video this Black Friday is an opportunity that's too good to miss.
Don't just write Hallmark off as the home of sappy movies, though. The company has become far, far more than that – and my favorite example is the bombastic TV show that fans are up in arms about being canceled.
Of course, I'm taking about The Way Home, the inter-generational time-travel series that will officially end after its fourth season in 2026, Hallmark as now confirmed.
It's one of those shows that has to be seen to be believed... and if you're not caught up with seasons 1-3 before season 4 begins, you'll be missing the TV event of the year.
Today's best Hallmark+ Black Friday deal
Hallmark+ (Prime Video add-on): was $7.99 per month now $2.99 at Prime Video

Why you need to stream The Way Home on Hallmark+ this Black Friday
Strap yourselves in, because this TV show lore is about to get complicated. The Way Home follows three generations of the Landry family – grandmother Del (Andie MacDowell), daughter Kat (Chyler Leigh) and granddaughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow).
One day, Alice figures out that they are able to travel through time if they jump into the pond at the end of their garden... only they don't choose where they get to go. We see them transported to Kat's youth in the 1900s, Del's teen years in the 1970s, and the origins of their family history in the 1800s.
You might think that this is an unhinged concept, and that's because it is. Not only do you never quite know where you are in time (and who realizes what's happening), but there's enough lore in The Way Home to rival any Marvel movie.
It sinks its teeth into you, though. I've not watched season 3 since it came out in January this year, and I'm still thinking about how mysteries are going to be solved in new episodes. Once it sticks in your brain, you'll be up all night trying to put the pieces together (as you'll discover many fans are if you join a community Facebook page).
Honestly, I'm surprised it's being canceled after four seasons. There's enough mileage for the Landry family's investigations to be drawn out for years to come – perhaps rivalling Hallmark's long-term show When Calls the Heart, which debuts its 13th season in January 2026.
It's always been a little too edgy for its platform, and I think that's the main problem. Initially created for Netflix, it was carried over by Hallmark's then head of content, and the rest is history.
Frankly, it's far and away the most interesting content Hallmark has produced in years, and I'm itching for season 4 to be released.
