If you're like me and were devastated to have missed Steven Soderbergh's recent spy thriller Black Bag (2025) in the cinemas, you won't have to wait much longer to catch it when it comes to one of the best streaming services. It's definitely going straight into my watchlist – and not just because of my biased obsession with Cate Blanchett.

Soderbergh's most recent movie is landing on Prime Video this month and it's by far one of my stand-outs – simply because of its ensemble cast featuring Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Pierce Brosnan and Naomie Harris.
When a top-secret software program is leaked, British intelligence officer George Woodhouse (Fassbender) embarks on a mission to investigate the person behind it. Things soon take an unexpected turn when he discovers that his wife Kathryn (Blanchett) and four other colleagues are on the list of prime suspects.
Through a series of tense interrogations, George uncovers two conflicting conspiracies related to the leak, but his marriage is also on the rocks, putting his loyalty to Kathryn to the ultimate test.
Children of Men (2006)

Children of Men left a positive, lasting impression on me the first time I watched it. It's been a very long time since I sat down to enjoy its unique and gripping story, so the time has come for me to indulge once again.
Set in a dystopian world, humans have lost the ability to reproduce. Indeed, there hasn't been a recorded birth in 20 years, leaving Britain as one of the last standing civilizations. This global catastrophe results in mass migration and the formation of a totalitarian police state.
When activist-turned-bureaucrat Theo (Clive Owen) is enlisted by a group of rebels run by his ex-wife Julian (Julianne Moore), he's tasked with escorting a refugee woman Kee (Clare-Hope Ashitey) who happens to be pregnant to a sanctuary of scientists researching a cure for infertility. As he embarks on what seems to be an impossible mission, the two traverse through a war-torn society as two opposing sides – the government and the rebels – hunt for Kee's baby for their own political gain.
The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

The third installment of the Jason Bourne movie series is the franchise's highest rated on Rotten Tomatoes, but despite sharing a name with the third book in Robert Ludlum's original Bourne trilogy, the movie adopts a different plot.
After the series of tragic events that occurred in The Bourne Supremacy (2004), Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) continues his mission to uncover his identity before he became a CIA assassin – and he's closer than ever.
Now at the center of a global manhunt, Bourne is informed by a journalist about a CIA black-ops program called Blackbriar, which prompts him to come out of hiding. His mission leaves him fighting for his life as he attempts to escape the CIA, who will stop at nothing to eradicate him in order to keep the program a secret. But will Bourne finally learn the truth about his past when he comes face-to-face with the person that made him who he is?
