"Disney+ free trial" is a phrase you've probably typed into Google on multiple occasions in recent months — and I don't blame you. After all, one of the world's best streaming services is also one of the most expensive, so having the option to try before you buy would be most welcome.
So, is a free trial to Disney's primary streamer available in July 2026? The short answer is: no. If you want an even longer explanation, you'll have to read through this article. I can promise you it's worth it, though, because I've also rounded up the latest and best deals around that you will want to take advantage of if you're looking to sign up to Disney+ and save some money. Is the 7-day Disney+ free trial still available?
As I mentioned above, you can't currently make use of a free trial for Disney+ or its sister streamer Hulu.
It's incredibly unlikely that we'll ever see one again, too. A seven-day free trial was available as Disney+ was slowly rolled out across the world, but it hasn't been offered to new and returning customers since late 2021. By the end of this year, it'll be five years since it was discontinued, so the prospect of it ever returning is slim to none.
What Disney+ bundles and deals are available?

Those of you looking to make a saving will be pleased to know that there a couple of workarounds, though.
For starters, you can add yourself to a family or friend's account — or add one of them to yours — via the Disney+ Extra Member feature. Essentially, this allows you to split the cost between everyone who uses said account and subsequently keep some of your hard-earned cash in your own pocket.
Another option, which is only available in the US, comes in the form of various Disney bundles — some of which are the best streaming deals around.
Take this ad-supported Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select Bundle deal that costs just $19.99 a month, for example. It's a far cheaper alternative to signing up to the aforementioned services individually and you get the added benefit of streaming adult-curated movies and shows on Hulu, as well as having your sports-based need covered on a 24/7 basis by ESPN.
Want to add a different streamer to the mix? This Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max ad-supported bundle is similarly cost-effective and allows you to watch every single piece of content available on HBO Max. You can also take advantage of a Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max ad-free subscription if you want to avoid ads, but you'll need to spent $32.99 a month to do that.
Is there another way to get a Disney+ free trial?
Yes, but only US and UK-based consumers can benefit for the three listed below.
Stateside, anyone who purchases a Verizon Unlimited plan can get a six-month free subscription to Disney+. Once that's elapsed, you'll need to cancel your Disney+ subscription, or face up to being charged the usual monthly fee.
Meanwhile, UK residents who sign up to one of O2's latest plans can enjoy six months of Disney+ as part of their contract. If you're on an existing plan from O2 and aren't ready to upgrade, you can also save £2 on your Disney+ subscription.
Alternatively, those on British shores can get three months of Disney+ free through Tesco Clubcard points. Turn £13.50 worth of vouchers into £27 and get Disney+ without ads, or turn £7.50 worth of vouchers into £15 and get three months of Disney+'s ad-supported plan instead.
Does Disney+ have gift cards?
It's not quite the same as getting a Disney+ free trial, but gift cards do exist for the service. Why not ask for a Disney+ gift card for your birthday or Christmas? Sure, someone is paying for it, but it won't be you!
Is Disney+ free with Amazon Prime?
Prime Video offers a wider variety of streaming service add-ons to subscribers, including HBO Max, Starz, Apple TV, and Paramount+. However, you can't get Disney+ through Amazon Prime, which also means there's also no way to get a Disney+ free trial through Prime Video.
Is Disney+ free with Hulu?
Before Disney created its various Hulu-included bindles, it used to be combine it and Disney+ via some great Black Friday streaming deals. Now, the only way to gain access to both streamers is subscribing to one of the bundles I discussed earlier in this guide.
That said, with Hulu replacing Disney+ Star outside of the US in late 2025, plus Disney's plan to merge Hulu and Disney+ into a single, unified app sometime in 2026, those bundles might not exist for much longer.
Disney+ student discount: is there one?
Disney+ doesn't offer a student discount directly, so you'll have to keep an eye out on third party options to see if any offers pop up. Thankfully, if you head over to the UniDays website, you can save 15% on a 12-month Disney+ subscription.
What can I watch with a Disney+ free trial?
The Disney+ free trial is no longer available, but anyone who signs up will be spoiled for choice from movie, TV show, and documentary perspectives.
Indeed, The Walt Disney Company owns plenty of popular franchises and studios, including Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, classic animated Disney movies, ESPN, ABC, and National Geographic. As I mentioned earlier, with Hulu set to be merged into Disney+ at some point this year, the latter will become home to every single production developed by Disney in the near future.
New movies, TV series, and other screen-based content will also regularly join the streamer's already stuff library in the weeks, months, and years ahead. No matter what genre(s) you enjoy, then there'll always something for you to watch from the comfort of your own home or on the go with the Disney+ app.
