Set in the 1970s, Dark Winds is inspired by Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn and Chee novels and follows the Navajo Tribal Police as they solve complex and unsettling crimes. Season 4 adapts Hillerman’s 1984 novel The Ghostway and will continue the story of Lt. Joe Leaphorn, played by Zahn McClarnon, and have him race against time to find a missing Navajo girl and save her from an obsessive killer.
