Cyber Monday iPhone deals 2023 in Australia: after sales discounts still available

Both Black Friday and Cyber Monday has come and gone, but that doesn't mean the deals have ended. If you want to snatch up an iPhone on sale, you can still shop the deals below, but they might not be around for much longer.

So far, we’ve seen up to AU$700 off the iPhone 14 Pro, though it came on the model with 1TB of storage, but that offer is long gone. Still available though is the AU$200 discount on the iPhone 11 from Amaysim, which is back in stock in both storage options.

Amaysim is offering a AU$200 discount on the iPhone 15, which we weren’t expecting to see this year. So if you were wanting to save a small amount on the latest iPhone, Amaysim’s deal is worth considering.

As for the major telcos, Vodafone has a deal on the iPhone 15, though it's not as good as what was available during the peak of Black Friday. You can pick up a AU$150 saving on the iPhone 12, though the discount was previously AU$300. The caveat with this Black Friday deal is that you’ll also need to sign up and stay connected to a Vodafone plan for a set period, either 12, 24 or 36 months.

We’ll be keeping a close eye for the rest of November and will bring you more iPhone deals right here as they become available.

Amaysim’s got a pretty incredible deal on the iPhone 11 – you can pick up this handset for just AU$479, but you will need to pair it with either a 28-day prepaid SIM or a long expiry plan. Still, with Amaysim’s cheapest prepaid coming in at AU$30, the absolute minimum you’ll have to pay is AU$509. We can’t imagine this deal sticking around for long, so jump on it now if you want a super cheap iPhone.

While not as cheap as the iPhone 11 deal (above), you might prefer the iPhone 12 if you want 5G connectivity and a slightly upgraded processor. Amazon’s currently offering the 128GB model for AU$977, but only in <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB08L89DDDT%2F%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">white. It’s not the lowest price we’ve seen, as it fell to AU$877 in October but only for Prime members. All in all, while it’s not a great deal, it’s decent for someone who’s upgrading from an iPhone 8 or older.

This deal comes on the iPhone 13 with 512GB of storage, which is the highest you can get for this model. You’re getting a dual camera system on the back, and it’s one that received some small upgrades from the iPhone 12 that came before it. Amazon has the biggest discount on the 512GB model of the iPhone 13 we can find at the moment, with AU$253 off the <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB09L7PVB4K%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">red model.

iPhone 14 deals

iPhone 14 (128GB)AU$1,299AU$1,099 on Amaysim + cost of phone plan

<a href="https://amaysim.pxf.io/c/338476/1590646/18450?subId1=hawk-custom-tracking&sharedId=hawk&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amaysim.com.au%2Fdevices%2Fphones%2Fapple%2Fiphone-14" data-link-merchant="amaysim.com.au"">iPhone 14 (128GB) | AU$1,299 AU$1,099 on Amaysim + cost of phone plan (save AU$200)

Last year’s iPhone 14 has also gotten a AU$200 discount from Amaysim. The standard iPhone 14 still comes with a 12MP main and 12MP ultrawide lens, but improvements to the sensors mean it’s slightly better than the iPhone 13’s camera array. To get this deal from Amaysim, you’ll need to also match it with a 28-day prepaid SIM or a long expiry plan. But at a minimum, this phone will cost you AU$1,129. Available in purple, blue and black.

iPhone 14 (512GB)AU$1,849AU$1,767 on Amazon

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB0BDHZ9MN3%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">iPhone 14 (512GB) | AU$1,849 AU$1,767 on Amazon (save AU$82)

Considering that the iPhone 15 is now available, we were hoping to see a bigger discount on 2022’s iPhone. The iPhone 14 with 512GB of storage is now AU$82 off on Amazon. The lowest we’ve seen this model drop was AU$1,699, so we’d suggest holding out a little longer to see if a better deal becomes available closer to Black Friday. Only discounted in <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB0BDHZ9MN3%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">white.

When will the best Black Friday iPhone deals start in 2023?

Black Friday is on November 24 this year, and we think that’s likely when the best Black Friday iPhone deals will start. It’s also possible that iPhone deals will start appearing about a week or two before Black Friday officially begins. With that said, some excellent iPhone deals are available right now, particularly if you want the latest iPhone 15 and you’ve got a current phone to trade-in for it.

Where will the best Black Friday iPhone deals be?

Judging from last year, we think the best Black Friday iPhone deals are likely to be from Amazon. It’s also possible that the telcos, particularly Optus and Vodafone, will offer Black Friday iPhone deals, though you’ll likely be required to sign up to a plan to access the savings. We’ll be listing all the best Black Friday iPhone deals on this page when they become available.

What Black Friday iPhone deals do we expect to see in 2023?

The recent Amazon Prime Day sale in Australia is a good indication of what we could expect on Black Friday this year. We saw some great savings on last year’s iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Plus during Prime Day in October, though it was the high storage variants that got the biggest discount of 25% off. The standard iPhone 13 also got a rare 25% discount in October, but only on the 512GB model. Using this information, we can speculate that the majority of deals will come on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 series, and models with 512GB or 1TB of storage could be more likely to see a price cut.

Last year’s best iPhone deals

Image

iPhone 13 Pro (1TB) | AU$2,569 AU$1,847 at Amazon (AU$722 off)

The iPhone 13 series came out in 2021, and it saw a lot of discounts during Black Friday 2022. This massive AU$722 discount came on the iPhone 13 Pro with 1TB of storage, and like many iPhone deals over the Black Friday weekend it was available via Amazon. Despite being over one year old at the time, the iPhone 13 Pro offers much the same power and performance of the 14 Pro, making it a particularly good deal at the time.

Image

iPhone 13 (512GB) | AU$1,749 AU$1,626 at Amazon (AU$123 off)

This Black Friday deal wasn’t as steep as we were hoping, as it was only a 7% discount on the iPhone 13 with 512GB of storage. For this Black Friday, we’ll be looking for a saving of at least 10% off or more on the iPhone 13 (and if we’re lucky, maybe the iPhone 14). We did see the 256GB model of this phone drop by 15% a few months ago, so it’s possible it can happen again this Black Friday 2023.

Image

iPhone 13 mini (512GB) | AU$1,569 AU$1,349 at Amazon (AU$220 off)

The iPhone 13 mini remains the best entry-level priced iPhone on the market, though now that it’s been discontinued by Apple, stock of the device could be dwindling. The 512GB version of the 13 mini got a AU$220 discount during last year’s Black Friday, and in September, it dropped even further with AU$470 sliced off the price. We’ve got our fingers crossed that a similar deal will return in November.

Image

iPhone 12 (64GB) | AU$1,049 AU$944 on Amazon (AU$105 off)

The iPhone 12 is getting on in age now, being released in 2020. It’s now fairly easy to find this iPhone for under a grand, but we’d really only recommend buying it if you can get a discount of at least AU$150 or more (that’s 14% off at a minimum).

Image

Buy iPhone 12/13/14 and get free Apple Watch SE 2 at Optus (valued at AU$399)

OK, so this wasn’t a direct discount on an iPhone, but it’s hard to look away from the fact that Optus threw in an Apple Watch SE 2 for free when you signed up for an iPhone on a 24- or 36-month plan. The caveat to this deal was that you needed to sign up for a data plan on the Watch SE too, for the same 24- or 36-month period as the phone repayments.
